Can use diesel or kerosene to clean chain.... But heard diesel is better than kerosene and more cheaper too.... After cleaning, u can either use 4T to lube the chain or use other lubricating means as ur preference.....

diesel is cheap n gd, but when u buy, Pls use a metal container to contain the diesel as it is illegal to buy fuel in other containers, eg, glass, plastic..

For me, i chose to use a engine degreaser. Cos it wont corrode the chain.

Use a jack. That is an alternative to main stand. I have yet to fully clean the chain. But I think that it is logical to say that cleaner is more silent.

use turpentine or kerosene soaked cloth and wipe.

you probably want as much oil to stay on the chains as possible, why use soap to rinse. use a kerosene or turpentine soaked rag and wipe with make your chains look good.

personally i use engine oil to lube for easy cleaning. chain lube are sticky and more difficult to clean.
