Think my wife wanna change her old Vios to this.. I actually like the instrument penal in the middle, being slightly taller my view often get blocked by the steering wheel when I drive conventional style vehicle.. If u can look at the rear view mirror at the center of the car why cannot read the meters there also? But if u're paying so much for a car den you have every right to kpkb abt the design.. Engine I read is the same as the old wan.. But this has 15" rims(old model 14") and the rear seats can be dropped to extend the boot space.. It also has manual gear selector for the auto gearbox which is pretty standard these days.. But the lower model doesn't come with passenger side airbag(old wan does).. It comes with a center console too.. I hate the front grill, Mazda copycat.. And the steering wheel is still damn ugly..

But if comparing Cerato and Vios, I'll prefer Cerato cos the interior looks much better and bigger than Vios... and price wise, think Cerato also cheaper by a few k...

Test drove the new Vios yesterday at BM.. Kinda like it, the seat are more body hugging and rear passenger seat comes with headrest also.. But no leather.. Rear passenger leg room prob had increased about 25%? and they got rid of the hump in the middle which is good.. The stereo sounds pretty ok for stock system, it plays WMA/MP3 and has an auxiliary input for your portable MP3 player which is pretty standard now a days.. The lower models doesn't comes with rear disc brakes and front passenger airbag, nor it has the rear fold down seats.. They forgot the plastic covers for the wheel arches, well only partially covered.. now here's the terrible part. even tho it uses the same engine as the old Vios, it really quite noisy.. I dun understand why, bad soundproofing? Different type of engine mount? It's almost as bad as the 2.0L Camry.. Now my wife has 2nd thoughts abt getting it already.. Sain

There'll be a new face of Cerato coming up... why not you try that? It's very comfy and price is much comparable to Vios... :thumb:

According to terrible one's post that the lower end models of the vios doesn't comes with rear disc brakes and front passenger airbag, nor it has the rear fold down seats  I thought even the old vios comes with all round disk brakes as standard?

Overall i still prefer the old model, i personally feels that the new one's body poportions looks kinda distorted. I've sat the previous vios before, noisy but remains one brisk car. Less soundproofing = lightweight.

just before they launched the new model, they were clearing the previous model(AT) for ard 44 to 45k otr, that's nearly 7 to 10k less than the new one. my friend got the previous model instead.
