Isle of man tt

Has anyone of you been to watch the isle of man tt? I will be planning to head for the 2014 isle of man tt. Currently in the midst of planning.

 

Would it be advisable to take the ferry from the specific ports or a plane over straight from London? The price difference is quite a lot. So far I've managed to look at the steam packet ferries. I will be there just to watch the superbikes so I won't be staying for the whole 2 weeks on the island. Any accommodation recommendations? Wouldn't mind camping but would it be safe? What sort of tix did you get? Where would be the best action spot to watch from?

 

Would appreciate if someone who has been there to guide me with some info. First time heading over to the UK.
