If your dont mind paying, visit tampines industrial estate.

the motorshop opp powerwheels motor. there is an SV400 with no plate FR3333 lying there . single owner

Hi ppl, is it possible to provide the exact location of the shop? Btw is there any other shops or ppl selling roadworthy SV400s? Becoz it's really hard to find...

Reason being i'm either getting a new hyosung 250cc V-twin or a gd SV400s due to the fact i'm going to stop at class 2A (personal reasons). Somehow love the look of Weiz silver SV400s during poly days... Also inline-4 400cc output is rather weak lower down the rpm range (own opinion)...

Anyway, what do u v-twin lovers think of the korean 250cc v-twin other than low power (27bhp)?

v-twin looks more on the torque side..

but looking at spec is never enough.. it will be better for u to try the bike, to see if it gives u the kick or not..

I ever tested the hyosung 250cc one. 1 word description : HEAVY

Power wise definitely much lower than SV400's 59BHP.

Fuel consumption is around 25km/l (feedback from the owner of the 250 tt i tested).

The FR3333 bike is in Tampines Ind park (tampines st 93) Its opposite YP motors(block 9004). According to the map, it should be located at block 9002 (facing 9004).

Shop name i cant remember :goodluck:

Just came back after a long talk with the shop boss... He say only 1 owner and layup for 3 years in his shop, but this is what i found on LTA webbie...

Vehicle No.: FR3333D

Vehicle Type: P00 - Passenger Motorcycle/Autocycle/Moped

Vehicle Attachment 1: No Attachment

Vehicle Scheme: Normal

Vehicle Make: SUZUKI

Vehicle Model: SV400SW

Chassis No.: VK53A101835

Engine No.: K508101890

Engine Capacity: 399 cc

Year Of Manufacture: 1999

Original Registration Date: 29 May 2000

Road Tax Expiry Date: 29 Nov 2006

Inspection Due Date: 29 May 2007

Transfer Count: 3

Just 1 question ppl, do layup bikes still need to pay for roadtax?

Simple life, Happy life...

Posted

From what I know, a lay-up vehicle has no road tax expiry date and cannot be rode on the road, so the SV is probably not laid up.

Transfer count 3 probably has already 2-3 owners - 1 bike shop to first owner, 2 first to second owner, 3 second owner to bike shop.

What shop is that?

"A vehicle which has been laid-up for 3 years in succession and has not been re-licensed will be automatically de-registered."
