eno, i tink u can juz get earlier, once 17 june comes, u juz go back to insurance office and transfer ur ncd, they give u rebate, do call them to check that out....if difference not a lot, juz get earlier...but up to u...

 

correction, its not if u dunt get any accidents, its whether u CLAIM anot..

 

I think its better if I call insurance and check with them the diff in price. If $50+, then I'll wait. Its just like 1 month away so might as well wait, collect some money and when I get my back, u won't see me in SG coz I'll be at JB doing up my bike like crazy.

But yours still have 1 year installment, so pple must COI which brings another new set of problem. You and buyer need to write a black n white coz there's a lot of risk involved.

Fairing as in the black one. I plan to replace everything back to stock before selling off. Coz no doubt I skidded before, the damage was purely external. My "family" mechanic confirmed it. Haha.

 

Ash, Shafie and Eno suggested going to Honda Boon Siew spare parts to get the quotation... Because if replacing fairing and respraying is gonna cost about the same, might as well go for original because I plan to sell the bike in a condition as close to original as possible. With the stickers and all.

COI has its own set of risks:

you are actually carry on installment in the seller's name..

he will probably add you as sub-rider, he can't transfer the bike to you yet cos he havent pay fully for his bike at bike shop.

only after the installment has been cleared at the shop, the shop will allow the seller to transfer the bike to you..

so, the seller can cheat you by not transferring the bike to you after all the installments have been made.. afterall, he is still the legal owner..

this COI must work in mutual trust..

i'm not sure how a black n white will help you if this thing happens... but if u r doing a black n white, get more witness from both sides to sign..

 

if you dont want all that.. ask the bike shop to transfer the bike to you and ask them to do a new installment arrangements..

alternatively, u can ask the bike shop how much need to pay to full settle everything (including prepayment penalty, if any)..if lets say the shop quote u $1200, make sure u incorporate that amount into ur selling price to ur prospective buyer.

 

so an illustration would be, lets say u wanna earn $2k, so u quote ur selling price to buyer as $3.2k.......

u can call 6554 2288 for AXA - bike insurance department.. dunno they call it ANDA, but when they ans my call, they still refer to themselves as AXA... u can call them and get u a quote..

NTUC covers 2nd party for bikes that are in their 2nd COE too.. (axa don't)

I know NTUC is like a very good insurance. I'm just checking out each company n finding the cheapest insurance. Ntuc indeed have very good service.

For those riding KR, we don't sell them. For prospective KR riders, we sell to them.
