I read from AIM mag, that EFI idle have to be a bit on the hi side. if not, the charging system wont be able to keep up with the draw of the electronics and light, and the oil pressure will drop off. the idle speed is controlled by the ECM so you wont be able to change it anyway.

EFI HD pipes sound like jap cruiser, if not worse.

So have to change to aftermarket pipes to sound wat a HD shld sound like...

you can take up the financial package from our local HD dealer, aint sure what the interest like though and if i am not wrong, their in-house hire purchase arrangement is from Maybank.

 

if i m not wrong, e last time i check w Maybank 2 yrs back... they only have loan package for new HD onli. Not for 2nd hand.

If you are planning on a stage 1 upgrade, you definitely need a remap if you are not going the PC way

Thanks dude. I'm just using it to beat the traffic to work once in a while and to do some groceries shopping as driving the car is simply not as nifty.

Not too much of HD culture or lifestyle for me, hahah.

 

Technically it's secondhand but physically brand new with less than 2,000 km on the odo.....

 

They still sound diff from Jap cruisers, i feel.

Jap cruisers are smoother sounding, Harleys are a bit more raw, it seems.

I'll ride it a while and see if i can accept it. If change to loud pipes, paiseh to my neighbors everytime i fire it up.

 

Loud pipes are shiok, my old Ttiumph Thunderbird had straight through twin peashooters, bloody loud...hoho

Yes, I will carry a backpack for that purpose.

Simple groceries, packet drinks, bread, eggs etc... but not the cartload type, hoho....will use my car for that.

 

My 883R also has a bikini fairing like yours....

is 1000 mainly deposit purpose or also downpayment? if the feest the bike are settled upon collection, does it mean i pay the fees and get the bike the same day?

eh... 1000 is the deposit for them to order the bike in for you. It will be part of your downpayment too. You place deposit, gotta wait for quite some time before the shipment arrives. Once they confirm the arrival date, they will probably call you up in advance to settle the rest of the payment (ins, coe, downpayment) etc. Don't think you will get the bike the same day cuz they still need to register for you and all the other necessary paperwork. I guess that's pretty much the same practice every other place

Has the Singaporeharley site finaly died? I just tried to get on (admitedly after a fairly long time) and only come up with a page with links to many other sites. Anybody know the story as it used to be a good site foy buying and selling used Harleys and parts.

i ordered in dec last year and am still waiting for my sporty...

 

At least now confirmed the vessel carrying my bike will be docking in on 27 may 08 at around 1145am... maybe next week i get to see my bike for the first time.

Ya man. Basket that time wanna look for fellow riders so little. Now so many, especially sporties. Grrr..Shall we meet and yak one of these days? Not necessarily Harleys only. Just a thread gathering. Mix of ex, present and future Harley owners. Of course we'll be talking mostly about Harleys so I guess we can welcome those who are interested who would like to know more about the bike. What say you guys? Proposed date and locations anyone?
