Do you stand up and ride when you entering the kisok ?

Not us, but I think others would.

No hump, so no need to stand up I guess.

It is possible to reach 2.1m if you are riding enduro bikes or scramblers and standing up as the pegs should be more than 30cm above ground. And if you are riding those bikes, you're most likely more than 1.7m tall. *boing*

So it's sometimes good to be vertically challenged!

I remember I did once when I was entering the Pagoh pump station

Sometimes I did stand up & ride in Malaysia, where my both tights will grap the fuel tank, just for the fun of it

How much to pay for a bike, personally

all depend how much pleasure you get from your HD ...

My Orgasm for / on bike limited to S$20k ...

which my 94 Fatboy that I got bout 6 month back serve well ..

I know someone will sure ask ... 94 Fatboy, depending on extend of custom will set one back btw 13k to 18k

As for new 2007 Harley offers a 96cubics at around 28k OTR for Dyna classic, it doesn't make good sense to purchase a 94'Big Twin at 15.5k in average.

New HD Big Twin straight from factory has 1584cc, 06 gearings, FI system (depends on individual) and comes with 200 rear 17inches (nice size, easy tyres selection).

With that 15.5k spend and to upgrade it to whats today HD's Tech, is definitely over shot, still running on a old bike with no guranatee.

Maybe others see it differently ... I don't know ???

it sounds more refined i can say. not as 'clunky'. but to me, nothing beats the sound of the EVO engine with a carb.

It's your damn bike, wash it yourself! You rinse your own mouth after you eat, don't you?

It is because sportster is using EVO engine ... LOL ...

Oic, I agree with you that the Sportster Evolution engine sounds good too, as far as I know this year sportster they are using something called "Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection" system instead of carb, I think its better in terms of fuel consumption?

yup, better fuel consumption and also easier to start. With carburettor, it makes your engine sounds like it's dying.

FI and Carbs Tech has their own advantages. FI has better FC and also smoother in entire powerband. It can also voice down to riding habits for getting good or below average FC.

IMO, keeping it simple and effective will be for my application and goals for HD, before some unneccessary "extras" I need to face with frustration.

Furthermore, I often itche backside like to tweak the bike, FI will be a hassle for me.

Aiyoooo ... since you like it so much just go and get one.

haha, I can't differciate a Sportster with carb from Sportster with ESPFI, cause never listen the engine in detail before.

:btw: lets say after installation of SE slip-on exhaust pipe, still have to install something like PC3 to electronically tune the Fuel-Air mixture? Cause to my understanding that the japanese bike installed with after-market exhaust pipe, we need to install a PC3 to electronically re-tune the Fuel-Air mixture, if not there will be back-fire from the engine, does that happen to Harley Davidsons's SE slip-on exhaust system too?

Yo ... gohjohan ... Irony, that sound like dying is also one of the HD's signature ... LOL

I think it is also influence from the European countries where they are more concern about air pollution, which they suggest that the FI engine are cleaner than carbs tech engine.

I also like the bike to be simple & effective, but seems like most H-D bikes are walking torward to FI system... come to talk about fuel system, the scientist foresee that there are not much fuel left in the world, probably 40years? I really wonder how H-D will generate the next step for our next generation of enthusiast...
