Need to go inspection..

.... i've always swapped pipes with tony prior to inspection....

now that he is in defu....it's kinda far for me from the west.

 

if i could get hold of a decent set for inspection....then i can DIY.

 

ya, have paid the price for loud rumble....but it hasn't stopped me from making a come back with the same thunder header pipes.

Just changed back to stock pipes after years riding with screaming eagles. Got caught once few years back can't afford to get caught again. Sad but relieved after changing. Not worth the stress to be looking over your shoulders everytime. It's a joy to ride my Harley before, not anymore. Once you change to the 'real' pipes you are in the radar of LTA. We buy Harley for the sound and all these years HDS did not come to some compromise with LTA. I guess they don't care since we are the one paying the fine, they just sell the bikes. So potential Harley buyers, think carefully, if you want to ride a silent bike or risk getting caught. I think it's not worth it.

Sorry forgot to add. I spoke to a rider when changing my pipes. He got caught and fined $500, he went to see his MP and got a $300 discount. So go see your MP if caught.

I think the FLSTC full set pipe will be better, if fatboy pipe , one of them will be above the passenger footpeg,. if you use the FLSTC ones the pipe will be below the passenger footpeg...safer for the passenger...

hey guys. just some advice i need. i will be renting a Harley in Las Vegas. was split between Fat Boy and Road King ('Glides too big for me to handle i think). i am currently riding a 400cc bike here. which of the two would have better handling?

u would be surprised at how well 10 up touring models handle. Try a roadglide. The shark nose is mounted on the crashbars/chassis so in terms of handling wun be much far off from the roadking. With a street glide u feel the batwing's weight.

thanks so much for the info. i was thinking of fat boy. at least the jump won't be headrush (from 400cc to over 1400cc).
