Hi guys,

I'm looking for good rated and trustworthy paint shop for powder coating work to be done on my very rusty spoke rims.

Where and who should I be looking for?

Many thanks!

yeah. Rejuvenate ur wheels with new spokes since ur gonna take em out anyway... New nipples too... Maybe have the nipples painted or something instead? Create a contrast

I've seen peacemakers before. With or without valve its loud...not much difference. and the tone also not very nice...

Which bike model was the National Cycle Peacemakers on? I always wondered if they really work. I won't expect the tone to be nice due to the position of the baffles

I saw it on a Sportster. Nah...it does not sound nice to me...it has got a very pronounced blat...not bassy at all...kinda like Vance and Hines but more blat then that and less bass then that...valve on and off I cannot tell the difference...and I was wondering what's the point then?

Rust / oxide are removed manually / chemical wash down or electrolysis.

I'm sure your pursuit is to compliment the outlook of your bike or to minimize maintenance.

Either way, choose to salvage or to do without. ie: replace.

Corrosion of spokes are usually at face level. chroming and ionized powder coating does help contain it's structural integrity....... but how does one gauge if 'em spokes are beyond structural soundness (brittle or otherwise) your ride, your safety ....... your prerogative.

Rest ok, I would suggest you change away your spokes, it doesn't cost much. :p

Hey! True that, it doesn't cost much but its hard to find good quality chrome spokes I shall do some searching or do you happen to know of anywhere?

Structural soundness is pretty hard to gauge on my own. Yes its the pursuit for minimal maintenance, I would see what can be done on them (getting someone to check for its integrity, salvaging or chemically washing) 16 year old spokes perhaps a new set is the best way to go.

I was thinking about minimizing the cost assembly of the spokes. Didn't cross my mind about creating that nipple contrast. I shall do some research and figure what's the greatest synergy of sound budgeting and the aesthetics.

Hey guys, need your help... I recently bought my harley vrod 10th anniversary limited edition 2012 model... Its a very good bike, but there is a problem with the bike, whenever it rains, the water enters the pillion seat.. And after that, when someone sits on the seat, their pants get wet... And the water actually enters via the seat thread work. I went back to the Harley shop and they are telling me it's common.. I need to know if it's really normal or are they too lazy to change?? Help pls.. Thanks :)

@siva

sound like a defective seat to me

rain water should not enter the foam area of the seat, never heard anyone complaining about this issue before so i say it is very unusual
