feeling weak on my battery, the battery icon in speedo blinking once when start up (one time the speedo off and on back again), maybe time to change it.

 

not sure to change into Lithium ion battery or not, any brothers there using it?

stock battery bought from HDS last April

everyday riding less 10km (HDS told me I ride too less so the battery die easily)

Hiya! Thanks for your reply! WoW! So taLL! I'm short mate, like barely 1.7m, how sad! Haha! So yep, many of those scramblers & GS bikes are beyond my reach...literally! I like drag bars. I've currently got a bobbed-out Intruder 400, great riding stance and smooth mechanics but bumpy as hell and highly illegal. So yes, I'd like to change things but it has to be within the boundaries of the stupid laws here in Singapore. Otherwise, it'll be a little too stressful to ride...

 

Not sure about exhaust style & wheel sizes though, what difference would that make? Think I should keep those bits stock... Since this will be my first Class 2 bike, I feel that I should start small. I mean a 1200cc bike is already like 3 times the size of the biggest bike I ever rode! Don't even know if I can handle it. It's quite a big jump!

 

Met up with a friendly Harley rider last weekend and got some invaluable pointers. Yeah, Harley's have a certain 'X' factor. Sure there are other more practical bikes to suit a multitude of purposes; touring, city riding, handling, acceleration, power, speed etc... Bottom line is no matter how competent the bike is at what it does, it's still NOT a Harley! Which has an allure that no other bike does...

 

There is one that caught my eye recently, I'm damn tempted to place a deposit, and pay booking fees just to reserve it. This is even before I've gotten my Class 2, and therefore I shan't be able to test ride. There are some who would advocate this course of action, but prudence suggests otherwise. What do you think

Hi Guys, just got my XL 1200 nightster. but i start to experience some trouble with the clutch, the biting point is rather close and my bike tends to move forward even clutch in... is the anything i can do on my own? P.S just brought it a few days back so I'm still rather new the Harley... Any help or tips would be much much appreciated

Just locate the clutch cable adjuster which is somewhere along your clutch cable.

Adjust that and the clutch lever will be further out making your biting point further away.

I currently ride the Road King 2008 and I love it as it is - all stocked engine without fear of the authorities banging on me .

 

Spends about $100 to $200 every month on maintenance, repairs or upgrades.

 

 

occasionally ride with HOGS but most time ride with a bunch of lone wolves.

 

Any senior Harley owners here considering going to the "dark side" hehheeeeee

 

I.e. The Indian or the Victory bikes in Singapore?

thanks brother, anyways just took my bike for inspection at a bikeshop, told me that my clutch is spoiled as well as my brake master pump and informed me the i should go online and buy myself if not Harley(sg) usually sell at a higher price($650 was the price). any idea how i can buy this clutch fiction disc and steel plate for the clutch? or better any shop that can help me get after market part's for harley? or any shop that is specialist in harley repair? really scare to ride my nightster now.....
