Hi everyone! Just got myself a 2006 Road King, carburetor model. Hope to learn from you all and join in the gatherings!

 

Btw, I can't lock my hard cases despite trying many times, could it be that my locks are spoilt or I don't know how to lock them?

 

I also hear lots of rattling metal when riding, is it common?

 

Gear pedal needs quite a fair bit of strength to change, normal too? (Used to riding Japanese bikes)

Ace Custom Tony, moved back to JB to semi retire. for Harley servicing and repairs,  i recommend Sanfu at Kaki Bukit.   Just google it.  They are efficient both in cost and time taken.  Simple

Maybe can consult your mech to take a look at the locking mechanism?

Rattling sounds serious. Mine also rattled, and changed primary, compensator and tensioner, seems to solve the problem.

 

Gearing wise, just need to adjust the clutch to a comfortable biting point.

 

Am wondering if there is a platform to discuss meetups as well.. any senior members to advice?

Yes, I need someone to help me with my lock. The previous owner told me one lock is spoilt and the other one is working. My gear lever is hard to kick, as though the joints aren't lubricated.
