Theres a Red M4 parked near the taxistand next to Heeren practically everytime I go past.

Finally managed to catch rider going off yesterday.

The sound fr the pipes were bassy at idle and orgasmic when moving off. It looked like carbon end cans.

FW plate, any idea whos bike it is or what cans he has?

Most people go through life following the crowd.

Others think for themselves.

They go their own way.

Hey i know that guy too! Once when i was at the gym, i parked my bike at heeren some time in the evening. noticed the red FW plate but owner wasn't around, then later when i returned to the bike, he was there, putting his helmet on. He honked when he saw me start up my monster and waved...friendly guy! Wouldnt happen to be any of the guys here would it? Back then when i saw his bike, he still had the stock pipes on

i spotted a matt black FX plate monster at tiong baru just now... anyone?

From then to now...

CMYRS : Bro what a small island Sg is ! haha. yea i saw yr Rs125 too. it was black right?(parked nxt to mine)

they're Ducati Performance(Made by Termignoni's) CF pipes..thanks for the compliment

blackreplica: Yea it so happen to be one of the guys here. heh ! :thumb: yea i fixed the pipes recently only, but JUST sold them off to a lucky chap coz i'm selling my monster soon... :weep help me spread the word..thanks ! :cheer:

EDITED: sorry guys, i think i'm fitting the thing on my bike lah.. might help it sell better. and aniway i posted the sale inclusive of LED backlight,..but u all still can get new ones thru Vector One... got two diff types...clear ones and smoked ones !

Posted

hahaha alamak espido now then i know that fella is you! How come your bike always at heeren? Do you work/live around there?

Sad to hear you are selling your bike, it's still so new! When you saw clear alternatives LED backlight, are you referring to the one with the integrated signal lights or is it just a brake light?

Any other interesting accessories you are selling? Hey, BTW i know its crazy but any chance you'd be willing to sell off your speedo/tacho instrument cluster? I'll trade you my speedo (no tach version) and top up some cash :) :) hehehe

Posted

haha yea bro i work in orchard area..

hmm yea bro i think tht idea's a little not feasible..haha..coz one of the main things abt the newer Monster is the tachometer..hmm but u can get the cluster fr MINERVA i think they cost like erm onli 500+? not too bad la huh?(Sarcasm) haha..but seriously if u wan a tachometer try going to http://www.ducatimonster.org..i think i read abt a few guys who did tachometer add-ons...(think aftermarket? forgot..)

aniway the LED i'm gonna fix onto my bike ..but if u guys wans can go to Vector One..i wanted to get the integrated ones...but was told it's illegal(cannot remove yr signals..if the bike comes with them...unless yr bike alrd has integrated signals...then can upgrade to LED integrated ones..)...the integrated ones costs a little over 100..NOT as ex as i thought... :cheer: :cheer:

High folks. after owning the Monster for more than a month, sometimes the 'almost zero' storage space is killing me. I would never ever put a top box on it, might as well sell it off for another bike. Oh yah Vince said he would ram me from the back if that ever happens.

Anyway I'm looking for side panniers. But something more 'lockable', something that can be left unattended. Ducati's official website have options for bigger monsters, which might probably fit on a M400 but costs are way way to high man. Anybody got other alternatives? Like Givi for example?

I find the monster quite practical actually.

Under the seat, on the left and right plastic panels (Carbon fibre for some of you guys), I was able to stuff one rolled up helmet bag, and one cargo net. When going shopping or something, use one of those flexible bicycle locks to secure the helmet to the bike, wrap it around the grab rails when not in use.

Wow! What a small world! Indeed that was me, Jess! Was there relaxing with the gf...thanks for the kind words on the exhaust but i am still having trouble getting it to sit symetrically :weep: next time though, if you do manage to catch me hanging around my bike, do say hello!

And on another note, i saw an FY plate Monster S4r as well yesterday, parked outside IKEA. Blue with a white stripe i think, with stock pipes...belong to any of the bros here? I was literally drooooooooling over it man!!

Anyone else here also think that maybe the Ducati throttle is a little too relaxed? As in, there is too much allowable twist on the throttle (when at above 100kph, needs a lot of throttle open which can result in a sore wrist over a long period). I decided to see if there was a work around and came across this fast throttle http://www.webbikeworld.com/ducati-motorcy...t-throttle-cam/

Ordered it sometime back and it just hit my mailbox today. Will be installing it at the next service and report back on the results

P.S LAB also sells a fast throttle (Domino fast throttle) which comes in a set including the entire throttle assembly fitted on the handlebar + grips for close to 100 bucks but i hesitated to get that one because it was generic and not ducati specific. If it does work though, the result would probably be similar

If any of you have suggestions on little mods here and there which make the bike a little smoother/more powerful/easier to ride with little in the way of monetary cost i'd like to hear them. Any budget (read: cheapskate) mods to suggest, now is the time to do so, so i can get them fitted at my upcoming 4K km servicing! Has anyone tried the K & N air filters (the pod type filters which attach to the carburetor (you have to throw out the air box). The look real sick :thumb: .

Woo fast throttle. How much did the final cost come up to?

Was anybody riding a monster into Bedok South Area sometime last week? It was a total red monster. I was coming back from breakfast then saw the bike turned into the carpark. It just started to drizzle so I think he was looking for shelter and ended parking right in front of my bike.

Neo Actually the main issue is the helmet. Bicycle lock ah... will look around. Hee thanks.

yo daron, the fast throttle cam i bought was about 47USD from the electraeon webite direct (see the webbikeworld link for the shop url). Shipping was either free or some negligible amount....it's not really cost effective compared to the domino fast throttle system @ LAB but at least it's ducati specific which is important to me! maybe some guinea pig can try the domino system and see if it works, its a lot less trouble than ordering online like i did LOL :cheeky:

In any case i REALLY think the monster stands to benefit a great deal from a fast throttle. Will probably be a lot less sluggish when moving off at the lights and more comfortable at high speeds too...we'll soon see iif my hunch is right!Stay tuned

I suppose its a longshot but does anyone here ride a multistrada? Preferably the 1000DS model? Does anyone else here think its a bloody beautiful (and yet so damn practical) piece of machinery? They look so good in black that i could literally swoon just looking at them (especially from the rear 3/4 view). I can't say i'm the biggest fan of the Star Wars R2D2-style front headlight but the rest of the bike more than makes up for it. Ducatitans signature reminded me about the multi. That bike and the Monster S2R 1000 (also using the DS engine i think) are my all time favourite ducatis. How much are those bikes selling for brand new @ minerva?

If anyone here owns either of these 2 bikes i do hope we get a chance to meet up some day (future ducati meet perhaps?) so i can actually see it in the flesh! Not that i could afford them, but hey, i love to dream :thumb:
