23/02/2008, 1:30am. Solo ride to Lim Chu Kang cemertery. Vast piece of land, no car, no people, no street light. I turned in from Lim Chu Kang road at 1:30am, rode into the deepest end, only came out at 1:48. All the way using 3rd gear.

 

You will never get that kind of peacefulness and quietness anywhere else. Just beware of dogs... I was chased by a few wild dogs. haha....

Thats a nice fender, would do a lot of good keeping stone chips off the inverted forks

 

Anyone here thing the road quality here in SG is getting worse? Nowadays its impossible to ride anywhere without getting bombarded by bumps, cracks, and stone chips thrown up by bikes/cars/lorries ahead of you

ive went through that road before, however starting from the other end. almost took 20 mins of slow riding. coming in from kranji road, off woodlands road, then in towards the kranji santuary golf course. following the road alllllll the way (which takes more than 15 mins) till hit limchukang road and the long "runway". going round and round inside there winding all the way almost seem like its never ending and i was lost for sure. awesome road, thankfully with 6 other buddies of mine if not the experience would've been more endearing

Oh...famous kranji farmway roads.turn right will hit Marine police post.turn left will hit lim chu kang.nice but must be careful though F1 lories are plenty full on work week...army trucks too.nearly got swipe by lorry coming from the opp.side of a blind turn.otherwise its a nice ride from work to home.

I believe that this place you are talking about is actually Neo Tiew Road..

 

I am here almost every alternate night just taking the corners on both my car and bike.

 

It's a pretty nice place to ride if you like twisties.. Though do take note of blind corners, sandy surfaces, and wild dogs as mentioned.

 

Google the place, it's a nice place to ride..

The road is not exactly safe imho. Try not to go there too often. Have seen 2 deaths throughout the decades. The place was used as a drag strip code named 40 tiang or si chap ki. We used to take cars there for illegal races until we witness a few horrible accidents, then we gave up.

 

In the night, if you notice hard enough, before u hit Neo Tiew, along 40 tiang, among the graves, sometimes there are rituals. You will once in a while if u r lucky see this man hopping from tomb stone to tomb stone, levitating himself very quickly. In short, the road is just plain "dirty".

FINALLY collected my bike from KC last night.. Mike fixed it up but still miffed with the lil dent in the tank, scratches on the pipes and the itty bitty mirrors. Prolly gonna send it back soon for fixing. Oh well. Up for this weekend's ride anyhow. Cheers guys.
