ooooooooooo.

i certainly like the kring crakkk, tut tut sound of ducati. but those ducati with dry clutch r more expensive. one of the affordable one is this 696.

well yeah i agree with u its very subjective in accpeting the design of the old n new monster.

i can say is s4r s look nice and 696 got its beautiful part too.

thanks for sharing anyway. :bouncefire: :bouncefire: :p :P

haha dont mind me, i was just messing around.

Yep the 696 wet clutch, so no funny clank klink klonk sounds coming from the bike. but with termis exhaust, plenty of vroom vroom sound lah hahaha.

The only sound ducati (and any other bike) owners dont want to hear is BOOM. That one really means spoilt

695 and 696 very different bike. 696 has all the new goodies, more powerful engine ( i think its about the same power as the old 900, or maybe even a little more powerful), fuel injection, radial mounted brakes, and the fancy digital dashboard. Lookswise also different. I like the older look more, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder (buyer). Technologically though, the 696 is considered new generation

Hi fellows, I would like to get all your experiences here in choosing between a legal GPR titanium pipes and termis fro my monster 400. I am torn between the 2 as each has its merits. Naturally my concern with the termis is that I might get caught, but they look and sound awesome.

Please advice. Thanks

Hahaha thanks CMYRS for the advice. How common is it to get caught with a termis? Would like to hear more feedback please. Thanks.

That depends on how much time you spend on the roads each day, and also what time of the day. But if you want to do it, just ride with ease. If you gonna ride with fear, might as well don't do it. What's the point of turning biking into a horric event each time you ride?

yes there's a problem..!! A pre 1997 monster 400 should do @ least 19km to 21km per liter.. mine does 21km per liter.. think ur air filters or carb should be dirty.. get it service.. example: wash carb, air filters and proper tuning... it helps.. cheers..

900 is definitely positively dry clutch.

Or maybe its a wet clutch and i accidently leaked all the oil out...still works though :p

"clackclack clackclack clackclack clackclack KLINGKLINGKLINGKLINGKLINGKLINGKLINGKLING"

LMAO some days i really love it but its quite a wakeup call when u pull the clutch in when you're tired and sleepy in the morning in an underground car park.

I heard the more worn the plates are, the noisier they get...i think i need new plates :pity:

Hardest part about riding a ducati is the fact that the controls work differently

Throttle = volume control. Twisting volume control makes the music louder, and makes the chicks look at you more. Doesnt go much faster though

(Dry) Clutch lever = Attention seeker control lever. Pull in to make people stare at you. Half (the educated riders) will admire you. The other half will come up to you and tell you that you bike sounds broken and you should bring it to the workshop ASAP before it blows up

Most people: "Holy ****! Are you SURE your bike is supposed to sound like that. Its broken!!!"

Me: ROTFLMAO

so true, sometimes the attention is pai-seh....lol
