yeah i do heard bout the life span of the dry clutch.

some say it can last 5k or milage. some say can only last 10k.

the dry clutch got to be replace after 10k usage.

is it that short???

Eh dry clutch life not so short lah....i'm still using the same clutch plates that came when i bought the bike last year. I've used the bike just under 10,000km since then and there is still plenty of life left in them. Although they do get noisier when they start to wear and they are definitely more noisy now than they were when i first got the bike. Biting point all this no issue at all. I think at least another 5000-10,000km of use left in them. I'd reckon OEM clutch plates will last about 15,000 to 20,000 MILES if used properly. This is what i read in other monster forums anyway from other riders. There is a bartnett clutch pack available which will quiten dry clutch operation but only last about 5000km which is probably where this rumour came from. But for OEM, they will last a long time provided you don't go popping wheelies all over the place lah (a bit hard to resist on the dry clutch monsters cos they are usually the more powerful ones ahahah).

hi all ducati riders.. i kinda need ur help on this issue ah.. do u noe where to find the side view mirror that's mounted on the bar ends? plsss... i really need ur help bros...

Think there are a couple of brands. One is called Napoleon bar end mirrors. Rizoma makes some too. I think there is another brand which also does. I dont think any of them are available from ah boy type shops. You might have to get from motoworld or online and that means $$$

Anyone here has & still remember experiencing LC Tong ???

Thats an awesome bike!! I remember riding my friend's RD350 a little bit when i was 19 years old, nearly a decade ago. Holy ****! That thing was smoking all over the place, smelly, dirty, run down, and they sure ran HOT, but BOY was it powerful!! Very cool bike. Not sure if they are still around, i never see them anymore

oh ok. well then its not tat costly la. how much is the original ducati clutch plate cost ?

another question, i notice most people change the cover on the right hand side just above the brake , i suppose tat is to make the sound of the dry clutch louder.

the original color of the internal part r red color or u guys change it to red color?:p :P

there are 2 visual elements to the dry clutch, one is the clutch pressure plate (the red part on my bike) and the dry clutch cover itself. stock ducati has a solid cover so you cannot see inside it and it is of course softer since covered. Inside the stock clutch is also a stock pressure plate which is a dull grey in colour.

To make the clutch visually appealing, you can change to cover to expose the pressure plate, then change the pressure plate too to something more attractive, which is what i did.

My pressure plate and cover are from SpeedyMoto. But there are plenty of brands you can choose from.

I find that in singapore people with dry clutches usually do not expose them. Maybe its because of the constant bad weather. Rain water entering the dry clutch may rust springs and will cause problems if you dont take care of your clutch, which is why technicolour said dry clutch needs more TLC but are just as reliable as wet versions. If you run a closed cover then its no issue at all but i prefer to ventilate because dry clutches produce a LOT of heat and i dont want it trapped. Or maybe its not common because a decent pressure plate + clutch cover combo will cost about 400+ SGD. Not a small sum. I think the only non-performance mod i ever did to my bike was to bling up my clutch. My wallet still hurts from the blow :p

ooo. jus as i thought of it alreadi. once u expose the cover sure got to change the internal plate to be more colorful one. or else it gona be dull.

thanks alot for the input.

guess it generate too much heat coz it dry clutch. but ttat is the signature of DUCATI. :p :P
