the frame, headlights,2 side exhaust

 

but i hope it sounds more like the current batch of monsters

cause the 1098 with termis somehow just lacks that low mean bassy growl

this now makes sense.

as in any design process,it will take years form concepts to the actual product at the very least 2yrs.Maybe PT's departure makes sense of my speculation if we count back the years for him to leave.

Since there are a few running design to be launch.PT under pressure took the easy way out and collected parts from all over.

After the completion of all work 2007,he decided that it was a god time to leave DUCATI an say true to his genius.

Thus my theory!

Our Ducati Anniversary BBQ is on this Saturday, 8 November... Fire should be starting up around 7.00pm. But all will be meeting up a little earlier at a common place to head to the BBQ place together.

 

Last call for the number of attendees as I need to place the order alrdy. For those who are coming but have yet to indicate their attendance, please say now...

Interesting conspiracy theory, LOL. Please excuse me for being a busybody.

 

Giandrea Fabbro is the young Italian designer who now is the senior designer at Ducati.

Fabbro had the huge responsibility to design the 1098. Most probably, the Streetfighter is his design as well.

Can't say I like the design... yet. Perhaps with time, it will grow on me, LOL.:angel:

To set things straight, I think from the news links that were posted it showed Ducati's new line of Street fighter using the 1098 engine. This line is a new standalone line which I personally feel is quite chio for "streetfighter" but moves away from traditional Ducati.

 

There will still be the Monster 1100 in 2009. The monster is not replaced by the SF. So please dun condemn Ducati for redesigning the monster to look like the SF. It is not. Just that all monsters from 2009 onwards have air cooled engines only. They still have the classic shape of fuel tank and trellis frame.

 

Ducati is on track with these models to achieve their goal of having 10 new models by 2010. Just a heads up.

When it comes to bikes, I only see red…

haha thanks man. but i have to admit, i do like the styling of the new streetfighter a LOT. It looks like a stripped down 1098 and it does appeal to me quite a bit. having said that, its not really groundbreaking in any way and will never have the iconic status of the monster, and i am glad they decided to split the line up this way since the monster was originally concieved as an aircooled 2v bike anyway.

 

With some luck i would like to own a streetfighter one day. i'm so glad that they didnt mess this one up the way that they did with the new monster which IMO looks absolutely awful
