Just got off my 696, broke out into a sweat. This entry level ducati is maniac. But somebody please tell me first gear is lurchy and it's normal?

 

Aalso Do you guys drag gear 2 alot? It's lurchy too if i change up too early, seems like should maintain at least rpm 4000..Is it so? Thanks!!

 

Yep it's normal, gear 1 n 2 kinda have low drag. Most drags kicks in at gear 3 n etc.

 

Gear 6 kinda seldom use, gear 5 can maintain speed that is both legal n safe for ya.

Nice.. thank you! Still learning to handle properly, not too willing to bring it down too low in corners yet, but certain she will be capable of it.. Look forward to join some kinda riding session you guys sometimes go on..

 

Certainly she is able to go down n come up smoothly even with a pillion.

 

I agree with you, need more time to understand ur 696, cos of e difference of handling of ur previous bike compair to her is different. All bike has their Soul n Uniqueness, learn well n use it well. :thumb:

It's normal bro, had that experience too with my R6.

 

My friend kinda pee in his pants:faint: when I went low with Duc 696, so beware of ur pillion experience or else it would be fine.

ha ha ha probably not lah, Dun wan to go from 900cc to 800cc. Anyway, cannot buy new bike. Finance department didn't approve my new budget proposal. Say next year budget cut. Need to cut headcount maybe.
