hi guys, just asking a question. there is a video review about the monster 796, the part that im a bit skeptic about when they mention that fuel economy is 18.8 city/23.5 highway so average sud be 20km/liter?. any m796 owners have a say? it could be possible coming from an air-cooled 2v bike.

Dunno about the 796 fc but IMO if youre concerned about how much you're gonna save on petrol you shouldn't be buying a ducati.

fuel consumption and ducati do not go in the same sentence but comparitively, the 2v engines are more fuel economical then the 4v. (i tested this side by side for 600 km)

 

generally, 20km/L is abt there. also depends on your throttle.

Every 6 k, oil change, check plug check oil filter - $120 - $150

Every 12 k, the above, plus change plug, change oil filter, wash air filter(for K&N), if not change paper filter, check belt, should cost plus minus $300 total

Every 24 k all the above plus valve adjustment, some tuning(recommended) around $450 - $600 depend on what needs done.

BLING - priceless.. some of us are out of house and home because of bling. Bling is evil but necessary.

Thanks.i need to save this.The 6k service,just check only also kena $120-150? Joe from minerva said every 10k adjust valve.so its safe to do it at 24k??

Dood your bike is 5k 10k and 20k interval. For your bike valve shim adjustment is every 20k. The above valid for ducati post 2007 only.. Btw there are other mechanics to go to other than Minerva. Cheers!
