Interested in a pre-loved M400. Wanna know more about the comments on the bikes available in the market.

I am 1.8 meters tall and need to get something that is within my budget.

I know some bros here got M400 to sell but anyone knows where can finance?

Seems like u are asking 3 qns. History of machine, cheap bike and finance.

So i gotta ask, whats ur budget, u looking for carb or efi, u wan newer monster or renewed coe.

Greetings fellow Ducatistis,

After much thought, I am putting up my 2010 Monster 1100 w/ ABS for sale. Reason why I'm selling is because I don't have the time to ride anymore with my busy work schedule and I rather a fellow Ducatisti ride it in her full glory.

It is kept in a sheltered carpark and I do not ride in the rain. I also only ride during weekends as a means of pleasure and not a mode of transport. As a result, the bike has an incredible low mileage of 2556km since I last purchased it brand new from Minerva in August 2010.

The bike is also washed and waxed (Dodojuice Supernatural) weekly on my own and is taken care of mechanically as well.

List of modifications (who leaves a Duc stock?):

1. Termignoni CF end cans accompanied by air filter and DP ECU

2. Rizoma rear sets

3. Speedymoto Shinobi pressure plate with Speedymoto clutch cover

4. DP CF fuel tank cover, vertical strip & front fender

5. Touring seat with red stitching (better for your lil bro)

6. Brembo RCS19 master brake pump

7. CRG clutch lever with 5 adjustable biting points

8. Carbonvani CF rear cowl

9. DP short tail licence plate holder

10. CRG bar end mirrors

11. DP led signal lights (front and rear)

12. Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa (mileage around 1,000km)

Road tax is due in Feb 2012.

I'm asking for $25,500 firm. I consider this to be reasonable with the higher COE now, list of expensive addons listed, pristine condition and ultra low mileage.

Enough of talk, here are some pics:

Those who are seriously interested can contact me at my mobile (9847 7595) for viewing. I can let go the bike at anytime.

Cheers,

Desmond

Ups for your sale, great bike and just like mine, although I'm still jealous as yours has some tastier bits than mine, plus u have bothered to wash it...

If u fancy selling those rear sets I know a man who would be pretty interested 😃

Hey guys, I have a pretty serious problem with my ride.

I have a 14-year old Monster 400 with M620 forks and twin rotors. When I corner at 120-140km/h, the front wobbles a lot. It starts like a slow dance, so I usually open the throttle up some more to try and ease the wobble out, but it only gets worse and starts to really go at it, like it's gyrating its yoke as if dancing with me. The last time it happened, I clung on for dear life while the wobble was so bad it nearly threw me off the bike. I was going through Lornie at 140km/h and was at full lean and it was like riding a crazy bucking bronco. The wobble caused me to lose my front and I had a long tank slapper which I managed to ease out without hitting the curb- I cut across 4 lanes with the tank slapper.

Does any of you experience a wobble during cornering? Is this an inherent problem with the M400 or is this due to the forks? Or unbalanced front rim? I checked everything including tire pressure. Nothing... :(

This sounds awfully similar to mine too... but mine was solved after taking out a faulty steering damper. Dunno if ur bike has one thou.

And for my case is that it happened in all aspects, straight, cornering, etc...

Do check your wheel bearings as well..

Thanks everyone, will be sending my bike for a check up once I have some moolah. The bike rides terribly slow and weak. I think it's time for a check or overhaul. Will update you guys.

Only LOOKS good from the outside. Tuning is rubbish, steering is rubbish, handling is rubbish, front wheel is not aligned, bolts from speedometer did not extend long enough to engage the headlight mount so headlight nearly fell off, front brake pads completely worn out even though they're claimed to be recently changed, engine keeps dying for no reason like I can be pulling through a corner at full throttle and it just sputters and dies. Like the bike is trying to kill me in one way or another. If it's not the steering wobble it's the throttle.

In a very poor state that would have been impossible for the previous owner not to notice, but I took his word for it because I trust my friends. I'm usually a VERY VERY big skeptic and very careful with my purchases but I trusted that the bike was in good condition when I took over, and of course also because of the high asking price.

All these problems were present on the first day I rode the bike, but I thought it might be my mind playing tricks on me. But then they all got worse to the point where it's now completely unsafe to ride my bike... :( very sad. Sometimes the people who will chop you the worse are friends, because they take advantage of your trust.

Since u are gonna keep it, do a full overhaul I'm sure it will regain to its so call original shape then slowly change other parts bit by bit that are worn out. Like wat u mention abt ur purchase just purely suay.

Can anyone explain what will mineva do when we send in our bike for the 12000km servicing? Roughly how much will it cost? I heard they need to reset this certain thing.

U need to reset the service reminder. It should show on ur meter when u start the bike.

Prepare abt $700 dependant on what needs to be changed on top of engine oil, oil filter and blar blar blar. But if the bike is like 2yrs old then its a diff story all together.

A gentle reminder, regular mechanics outside do not have the special tools required to do a proper servicing on a ducati. Strongly encouraged to go to a proper ducati mechanic.

hey all,

i've always wanted to try a duke, but never really seem to be able to convince myself to have one.

so can someone try to convince me why i should get a duke. I've class 2, so anyone can just shoot any model.

basically, i want to know why duke and not other brand. specifically i'm looking at the naked bikes and hypermotard. not really a sports bike person.

and please dont tell me to go with my heart, just try your best to make me buy one. those who are selling, especially can try to sell your bike here.

thanks for your time!

What doesn't kills me can only makes me stronger.

There isnt 1 particular reason why a ducati. Its a brand of passion. Its a brand with moto gp pedigree. But at the end of the day u have to ask yourself what u want out of the bike an what the bike can give u.

I know of many ppl whom have had years of riding experience and gone thru numerous bikes but have yet to touch a ducati.

Easiest way i can explain this is why LV not charles and keith bags?

Sure there are technical benefits behind riding a ducati example no periodic top over haul. But i would still post the same qns back to u, what do u want out of a bike.

If you need convincing, you dont need a Ducati. I myself rode Jap fours for decades, and then took the jump to ride a Duc. Havent looked back since and so far I've had 4. Like the Dodo mentioned, its a passion to ride a bike with pedigree, one that you dont see at every corner. A ducati rider is an individual who stands out, and as a collective, ducati riders are a tight group whoz interests vary, but still very much on the same page.

Dreamed I was a muffler. Woke up exhausted.
