i feel that as long as the fork brace does its job, it doesn't matter where its made of. its just a few piece of aluminium, secured by a few bolts.

even if the brand is daytona or hodaka or odaka, it is oso possible that it is made in china or thai.

cheers...

I believe most of us here are talking about the light fork brace? Can i know whether its made of soft aluminium(low grade) or those of cold forge or t6061-t6?

Cos i had instances whereby there was a slight curve on the brace over the time due to its softness.

Where can i get those made from harder aluminium? thanks in advance for clearing my doubt.

Actually I think its more of a psychological effect lah... That piece of metal probably does its job but the effect is not great enough for average riders like us (or at least myself) to feel.... Ultimately, how well a person can corner or negotiate obstacles is still up to individual skill and experience...

Wah Daytona Fork Brace!! :thumb: u bought it at $180? i was quoted this price and i got shock. :offtopic: Performance-wise? good? Able to post in pic? Thanks!!

after fixing the fork brace, will have slight gap. as long as its tight can already... dun overtighten it as u do not wanna damage ur fork.

testing fork brace, actually to my understanding, fork brace is for extreme riders... average riders like us can't really feel the diff unless u rider hard... fork brace enhance stability of the fork when doing hard braking or corning. so wat we can feel is its more stable esp doing hard braking.

That is consider ill fitting? well, i guess we shud wait for the specific model to come out and we shud be relieved. So now should ride safely and carefully, cheers!

dun think so. cos if its made to fit nicely with no gaps, with thermal expansion n contraction, the fork brace is as good as nothing cos it may get lose after sometime. so with gap, we only need to tighten it.

may b right may b wrong but fork brace is a good to have but not necessary to have item.

mayb u try asking the motor shop c wat explaination can they give. is it bad worksmanship due to its gap... then kindly update us??

thanx...
