wanna diy in doing together? i am interested to do the throttle bodies sync as well. i have found out the location of the mixture screw and vacuum outlet thru my previous disassemble of my tank.

Juz did replace steering cone and fork seal n dust.total cost $128. Oem yamaha parts. Labour $80 and maxima 2 bottles $34. I use 5wt and set to stock manual setting. 670ml of fork oil each tube. Handling improve alot. For those who are keen to change theirs fyi.rebuilding my dads bike.

Hi guys I am trouble by my new bought FJR... Hope any experience here can help me to solve my problem.... Recently just bought a 05 FJR and went a servicing before riding my bike, did a engine oil & oil filter(maxima) change, 4 new spark plug (iridium), new battery, air filter wash and drive shaft oil change. After everything change the next morning when I start my bike it began to auto warm up to 1.5rpm after which one bar of temp came out the idle went to down to rpm of 800 to 700 with alot of jerky sound even sometimes engine stalled and when trying to ride the rpm from 1k to 2k was not smooth and very jerky and after the engine rode around 1 to 2km which the temp is now 2bar or more the engine become normal again even the idling idle at 1.1rpm. Now I facing this problem when ever my bike engine is cold. Anyone had this problem before will like to share the solving for me thanks alot cheers.......I just saw the previous owner had his injector, valve clearance, throttle body and rear shaft services done on the december 2012 at bikeworkz (receipts previous owner passed to me) and should i redo all these services again? Pls advise thanks to all bros here can feed me some experience thanks

Auto choke on my 09 goes down when temp is 3bars. Timing might be too low. 900 to 1k rpm is abt rite for me. Wud take it back to Bikeworks and have a mech take a look. Wudn't redo anything just yet.

yea. like what bro @Danonz mentioned. pls send back to the shop to adjust up ur idling first. alternatively u can try self adjust it by turning the idling knob clockwise up which is located just somewhere beside ur chassic and ur right fairing. look up from below.

Adjust ur rpm idling to 1000-1100rpm. Black colour knob juz below ur right knee when ur sitting on ur bike. Ensure bike properly warm up before u make ur adjustment. Im juz wondering if the shop really does valve clearance. Coz I went last week to buy shims at auto machinery for the valve clearance but apparently they dun keep stock. Need special order takes about 3 weeks..

U can try drz or vstrom shims coz they run on 9.48mm OD too.

i tried my colleague's fjr and found its steering is very heavy compared to my fazer thats why asking...

Surely, Fazer & FJR would be diff. How much diff it depends. You have to compare with other FJR. Pressure should be about 40psi. When you steer at stationary and especially with rough surface, it is quite normal to feel a bit heavy. But while riding at 5-10km/h. no problem.

 

If while turning at slow speed and the handle bar feels like it wants to turn more by itself, then most likely cause is insufficient tyre pressure.

Likely to be able to fit into Gen3 provided the rear 3 screws are the same as Gen2]

Ya funny bro I warm till ard 2 to 3 bar ten I will adjust the idling to 1100 rpm but after next day after warm up the idling will become less than 1k rpm and around 8 or 9 rpm sometime even engine stalled don't cant figure out but just went for another tbt but after few the problem came back again
