I have a doubt to clarify.

 

What is the highest speed anyone has tried with the panniers on? Anyone experienced any problems with the panniers at high speeds? There is a warning msg inside the boxes reminding the rider not to hit speeds of more than 130km/hr with accesories on (referring to the panniers).

n@kan0, yes, it's true, my friend rode my ride up to Hatyai, somemore pillion-ing his girl-friend, plus my rear box somemore (but W/O two side panniers), he said he managed to hit 250+ km/h, nearly hitting very close to 260km/h, (speed shown on the speedometer, don't think it will be actual 260km/h if measured otherwise) but that was the max he can go, not any further.

 

I told him, "Yah lah, what do you expect? Mine is not a sports tourer like your Falcon which can hit 299 anytime, anywhere"...

 

Luckily you looking at a '06 and above ride, if not, I sell you mine, you also don't want... :cheeky:

So that warning msg inside the panniers is bullshi_t lah. Che.... I was concerned if the panniers will be able to sustain the wind-turbulence at high speeds. Scarly the box fall off halfway on the NSH, then big headache

Still running in though.thought of doing dyno so can break hardline but must pay $170..so ex..Now i really cannot wait for my TP in april!! Therefore i dubbed my new stallion The DARK ANGEL.

Just for your consideration.

 

I did my :

 

(1) Change of tensioner + labour at mileage around 29,000km at bike shop A for S$150 in June last year.

 

(2) At bike shop B, mileage around 33,700km, Sept last year, change of timing chain (think it is S$55), do valve clearance (but according to some riders here, not many shops/mechanic can do a REAL, CORRECT, PROPER valve clearance), injector cleaning, change of EO (I brought along my 4 bottles of Rock Oil), changed 4 x spark plugs (S$80), changed coolent + labour (S$120), changed gasket, TOTAL damage for all = S$384.

 

I am not sure whether in both cases, you guys will say charges too expensive or "Wah, superb cheap ah." or not... Anyway, bike has been maintained and $$ paid. :)

Bro,that is By Right but u forgetting theres always a a thing called By Left..

not trying to be brave or anything,just rode the bike from the bike shop all the way to my house just to "feel" it..currently im under 'not riding' so the sub rider will be riding it for now..thats y can't wait haha
