Yamaha FJR1300

Hi guys, today while changing my engine oil, I'm surprise to see that the oil is pretty red.. Like ribena u know? I use Motul fully syn but never had this kind of experience before.. Anyone know why?

 

Recently, I sometimes exp engine knocking when i acclerate a bit harder in gear 1 (like cars trying to accelerate fast in high gear with low speed), dunno whether izit related to this phenomenon..

if ur 4T is originally red.... getting dirty red is okie... but tink itz not in ya case...

 

knocking cud it be ya timing belt loose liao???? or is dat the infamous "ticking" sound???

i'm fine thks man ,, lets hope to meet up someday ,, afew of us went MIA Too .. like LUN and JIM1 . BTW do u know that there's " under tray " for FJR TOO ? i saw it from an italian web site ,., dam slick. so may be we can come out for coffee or something,, i 'll try to get JIM1 out ..

Just come lah.

So far i managed to get 4 units of FJR 1300 to come. They are my friends and some fjr riders that i seen them on the road. I don't know them they don't know me.. Just one common goal.. Know more friends than sitting duck!. I'm not a good organiser, but a good follower.

 

You guys prefer Sat or Sun?

I remember thAt websire has the rear hugger for FJR as well... That will be ultimate farkle man... I'll join he gathering see how.. Want to listen the sound of diff FJR..

That's very unusual, looks like blood

Must find out what is the reason behind it, maybe can go back to the oil supplier to ask for an explaination or send the photo to the oil company

I've seek opinion from fjrowners.com... I suggested it might be from the fuel cuz i pump esso 5000 which is dyed red. One of them say "blow pass" which is pretty common whereby the burned mixture gets through the piston ring...

 

I oso asked a professor.. He suggested it might be just the breaking down of the oil.. I clocked 7000km for this oil which is 2000-3000km more than i usually do..

 

I'll just monitor the condition see how.. Anyway my 40000km servicing coming up... I'll highlight to my mech oso...
