No point in rebuilting ur oem shocks. It will make no difference and u feel like a waste of $$$.

If u really feel unstable with ur oem shocks(provided u have gotten used to fjr handling) and prefer to save $$$, get a new fjr oem shocks instead. Will set u down abt $400+. It will feel good like new and definitely more years of usage.

Of cos it doesn't beat Ohlins.. Unless u have $1.6k to spare y not.

Find out the cost of new oem shocks first.. That was the price quoted abt slightly 2 yrs ago.

Play safe abt 500+ incld gst but price go up or down depends on their so called "yen economy".

Of cos its still way cheaper than Ohlins but still it depends how deep ur pocket goes.

Hope it helps weighing the options.

These are some options u can consider. The rest depends on ur pocket. Whateva it is, get use to the handling first, the straight and cornerings. And of cos playing ard with the front and rear shock's dampener.

Might want to sit and try on other FJRs' to note any differences on stock.

I was using aftermarket windshield Calsci.. Really good and does the job. Abit pricey though ard 300+ usd.

The stock shields for me personally is not enough to cover ur helmet even at highest so u will have that cross wind effect on ur helmet. That is of cos if u intend to go over 180km/h. Below that range stock shields are fine.

Easily available here will be the Ermax screens from motoworld. That is another option.. Only thing is depends on ur height, ur eyes might be in line with the "curved" top of this shield while looking at the road and that can be annoying.

Well i intend to go further.. More than just paved roads tats y.

Ermax screens, yes definitely.. Aftermarket screens are way higher than stock. How u adjust ur screens depends on how comfortable u are. Best to get few fjr kakis and those tat have the aftermarket screens, can try them out. The annoying part is when at its lowest setting. Again it depends on ur eye level. Not everyone experience but some have.

Calsci screens are according to height following the measurement i gave them. Theres a few sizes to choose from. So mine usually at low setting just abit up is enuf.

Around Singapore I usually have the windshield down all the way to maximize air flow. When the wind gets stronger at higher speeds I raise the windshield enough to reduce the blast on my chest, but not cut off all air flow. If there's no air flow across the top of my helmet, I get really hot. This means I can still see over the top of the windscreen.
