Couple months ago, I checked, Machine Price is $27K, you need to add GST, COE, Road Tax, IU, Insurance. so OTR should be 31K++

Need Help!!!!

 

 

I bought a 04 model FJR from a Malay Guy Named "Faizal", stayed woodland. on 4th Aug 2012. But he is not a honest guy. And his heart is very bad. He sold me a FJR with welded damper rod. Thats means all along this 2 mths i just riding on 1 fork. there other is broken. I am lucky to discover this today as i was changing my steering cone at Bikewerks. And sad to say unable to find spare part for this damper rod. need to order from overseas "Japan" Yamaha takes about 1-2 months. No choice i welded the damper rod back just to slowly ride back home while searching for kind souls who can help me look for this damper rod 04 FJR. The bike shop called Yamaha Agent and scrap yard all don have. if any Bros here got lobang getting please let me know asap.

I am disappointed with this guy as he sold a bike nvr concern aout next rider life. I believe in Karma. If it nvr kana u, it will kana to your family members. I msg him, totally no reply, at least a sorry and i still can take it. But sad to say NO!

I really hope can find the parts asap so that i can start ride my FJR again....Hope Miracle can happen.

hi,sori to hear that n u r lucky to discover.mayb u shld check if other yammie bike uses the same fork or check ebay for parts.,myb faster that way.u may just have to get the whole fork to get the part u wan.

How do we know the rear wheel bearing is defective? heard froma fren FJR rear wheel bearing need to order and take abt 2-3 months...should i order just incase the wheel bearing broke down? any advice from seniors here.....and how much roughly...

Put bike on main stand so rear wheel is off the ground. Turn the rear wheel by hand, if it feels rough, bearing is gone.

 

Your's what model?

 

For Gen 1, there are 2 ball bearings, 1 needle bearing. The needle bearing is 26mm wide and is the one that usually no stock. However, I've used a 25mm wide one and it had clocked more than 100,000km.

 

As for the ball bearings, I have the dimensions. Just get it from SKF, cheap cheap.

Seals + Dust Cover $30 from AM. Workmanship u try asking Racewerks. I would say ard $30 - $40.

Oh, they use Ipone or sth rite? Quite ex. Better get your own oil. We need 1.4L.

damn anyone glove box stuck cannot open ? mine today stuck cannot open i did kick neutral and everything else but cant... think my box is spoilt

Tough competition already. No choice. If they dont do any upgrade to the current specs and still cant lower the selling price for the existing models. Very soon consumer will phrase it out. Nowadays I also hardly see STX on the road already. Last time it used to be very famous.

 

Any idea when is this beauty coming to SG...?

 

I believe the new FJR should arrive SG by April 13
