Hi guy when i ride the bike in high speed, my finger will start to numb due to the vibration at the throttle, anyone know what can I do to make my finger more comfort when riding Hugh speed?? Thanks if u all can help me

I am riding a 2011 FJR.

 

This morning I had a weird happening with the headlight not turned on when I start my bike. Just sharing my experience and hope if anyone had encounter this before.

 

The symptoms are:

1. Highbeam indicator is on but headlight is off. No headlight at all.

2. Signal light on both sides are on. Hazard light switch is in off position.

3. Windshield switch does not work.

 

Bike is able to run as per normal.

 

I went to the bike shop just now and the mechanic checked the fuse and they were ok. Did some fiddling with the both left and right headlight. And when he fiddle with the left headlight, the headlight turn back on. Everything function back per normal again.

 

However, the headlight is off even when I turn the bike to on position. Usually, when you insert the key and turn on the switch, the headlight will be on even before starting the engine, but mine is off. Only when I start the engine then the headlight will turn on.

 

The mechanic says that I have to leave the bike there so that they can dismantle the fairing to check the wiring, but I told them I will come back again some other day. erm...my 09 lights are on only when I crank the engine. Only poles come one when u turn the key.

 

there was a recall a while back about the grounding but I can't remember if the 2011's were affected.

Bar ends help a bit. Make sure ur throttle bodies are sync.

Bro...it happened to my bike before..mine is worst than urs..can't crank at all n not even a push start. after checking hass been done i found out that the ground wire shorted. after weeks of riding there came another issues which is the same so i went back to the shop and found out another so i've decided to find all my ground wire connector to be mod and change the connector. in total i've mod 6 points which is the ground wire which has the connector. Changed all the points of connector and add another ground wire to the body and it works fine till tdy!!!

The shop mechanic also cant change it from mile to km. He explained that the meter is not a full digital speedo-meter and said should read as km, if it is a fully digital meter than it can be change from miles to km and vice versa. I've checked out the FJR manual nothing was mention abt the switching from miles to km.

funny, bike shop ppl oso didnt notice that it was in miles. And i was con until i get the bike den i knew something was wrong. Anywhere, it still difficulty to find such low mileage for a 6yrs old FJR.

same problem like u a few mths back... fixed my spider problem... plannin to carry out preventive maintenance by fixin the rest of the spider but yet no time to do it... maybe also lazy and no motivation yet

r u a DIY person? if so, i can show u step by step to fix ur problem. i will be ard tml at the sbf event ard 2pm onwards... PM me if u wanna meet up either to chat or to fix ur problem on the spot (BYO long wirings, tool i can provide).

huh? not full digital meter? it is still a full digital meter lar! juz tt dun hv the dual units read out fn built in.

no way to switch view (chg miles / KM) unless u wanna spend $xxxx to replace the whole meter to juz read in KM... based on my last research tt is...

Thanks dude. I am not a DIY person, but I am interested to learn how to. I did not catch your msg until today. I think I will head down to the bike shop and let them do a full servicing on my bike to check the electronics and wiring as I need to change quite a few things already. Thanks for your interest to teach me. Hope we can have a chance to meet out someday with the FJR riders for a mini gathering and chat about our bikes.
