TDM is Chain driven, FJR is shaft driven. AS for shaft drive lots of power loss on the propeller .

Take a R6, it could do 299km per hour.

280km/hr for FJR quite impossible for me. Might have to shed some weight to do it. Tried and tested many times on the NOrth South highway still cannot. I opened and maintained (Full throttle) for at least 30sec at the max speed 245km per hour , speed maintained just won't go up no matter how hard i pumped. At this speed and the duration ,Engine temp rised up to three bar.

2.Any basic mods? If any, Please share it with us.

3. What fuel grade were you using?

4. Where and which road did you make this event happen?

5. Sides boxes fitted up?

did u try without the pinners & the windshield to the lowest position? or is it due to the power cut

I ride with full panniers on. With prone position and wind shield at the lowest point.

I've spoken to Ming Tong of Looi's Motor. He told me FJR max speed is 250km per hour on open road. However, it can be improved by doing some setting on our ECU. In another words, do a minor tunning on our fuel and air mixture. With this small little mod, it can reach to 260km/per hour.

I Just want to bring out the full potential of my FJR. Sometime, When i think of that, probably just settle for a Suzuki Hayabusa. :)

My coming project is to upgrade the performance to a better and meaner machine by the following.

1. Bigger fuel pump

2. Power commander, (If the cost is within my budget)

3. Removal of power cut if there is any.

4. Remapping of the ECU to accomodate large intake of air and fuel intake.

5. Lose weight on the rider.:cheer:
