My initiallly plan was to just take photo at Kallang KFC Public Car park on one of the Sunday morning.

Photo taking with some waiting only takes less than 30 mins. I understand lots of FJR owners usually make Sunday as their family day. I do not want to impose on their family commitment.

As for trips, We can arrange after the mega meet up photo shoot, for those who want to go Mersing to do some trunkie corner count me in....

What do you all think.?

New adventures created when you ride your bike....

Driving car is like cooking my food in a mirco wave oven..

Riding bike is like BBQ my food in nature

Get your heart pumping and adrenaline flowing..

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

Anyone faced the problem of idling?

1) Every time when its cool down and start to warm up, the initial high rpm i understand its for warming up the bike. But once u reached abt one bar temp. the idling drop to slightly more than 500 rpm only. And it seems going to die off. Its maintain for quite sometime ard 500rpm and sounds unstable.Once i rev, it rev not very smoothly at first. After a few rev than its smoothen out.

2) Once even warm up and travelling for awhile with temp bar 2-3. Sudden quick and short rev at the stop will cause my engine to cut. Even if it does not cut the throttle respone it not smooth. it sounds like fuel blaoting initially and then rev up smoothly..

Any season FJR owner can advise.. Tks..

domjames,

your idling speed is too low, I have the same problem last time and my engine always die when I stop before the engine was fully warm up.

There is a knob underneath your seat, just behind the fairing on the right side of your bike (while seating on bike). Turn it clockwise to increase the idling speed till it is about 1,000 to 1,100rpm. When your engine reaches the ideal speed, turn the knob one more click and then turn anti clockwise back one click.

Set the idling speed only when engine is fully warm up.

Alternatively, come for the photo shoot/meet up this coming 16/10/2005 at Kallang KFC to have a chat with us

I thought 2006 model is going to be clutchless, why do I still see a clutch?

Is the "steptronic" gear box optional?

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

The one that Ash posted is the 2006 A model...

The one WITHOUT the clutch lever is the 2006 AE model...

This is great!! Means the Standard ABS model has all the vent and sh*t without the "clutch leverless" improvement... Although CBS is still there, I believe we can deal with that.. Someone from the overseas forum is already looking into disabling the CBS liao...

Sibei gian.... :lovestruck:

i've made a word-to-word comparison under the "features and benefits" section and these are the additional descriptions for 06' AE model.

KEY FEATURES

FJR1300AE receives, in addition to the other `06 refinements listed, heated grips and a Yamaha excusive electric-shift five-speed transmission that eliminates the clutch lever entirely—now you can click off supersmooth shifts using either the left bar-mounted paddles or the foot-operated gearshift lever.

NEW FOR 2006

Yamaha brings another industry first – a computer operated clutch and electronic shift actuators, eliminate the need to operate the clutch and improves shift effort.

Rear shock adjustment is simplified

ENGINE

New, curved radiator and ducting with twin ring fans, insulated fuel tank, etc., for improved cooling.

But of course, the 06' A model's radiator is curved as well.. Rear shock adjustment i think should be the same..

That means there is a choice of 2006A and 2006AE model, very good :lovestruck:

Might try to trade in if I can get a good deal from HL

Hey fellow FJRians,

Can someone recommend me a accurate tyre pressure gauge with a pressure release valve?

I bought two guages already but both giving different readings, so mad :sian:

Just replaced a new set of tyres yesterday at Southern motor and wanted to have more accurate pressure for it.

Thanks in advance

What do you change to?

BT020?

How much may I ask?

Why are people who ride motorcycles called bikers and people who ride bikes called cyclists?
