I've started making them since 3 am this morn.

 

And I took a break and made some more since 10am.

 

This is the finished result.

 

White, reds and some more with gula Melakka inside for the extra sweetness.

 

In Soup of Ginger and red sugar.

 

Made them and packed into disposable bowls for delivery to friends to makan.

Ginger is goood.

 

it chase the wind away for you, especially wind in your stomach.

 

it clears your nasal system and is good stuff against the haze.....

i love tang yuan~~ always make them during dong zi for my family and love ones prefer white more den red ones even if they are the same lol...

dong zi is the festival name i think..

 

but i always call it tang yuan jie.. haha..

 

Can put in the flask meh? Later the tang yuan all become '1big family' cannot separate..

Dong zi in chinese means Winter is Here.

 

Its actually means the 1st day of Winter.

 

The english translation is Winter Solstice.
