Nope, no dent.

That's e Leo Vince GP Style pipe. $600 from Gmax. For the 750 there are a few other choices cos you don't need the link pipe.

Maybe it was reflection because from the picture it looks like a big dent at the tank.

I think I will save up for a new set of tires and riding gear first.

You just posted on the Z1000 thread on the riderforum? Come talk to Elan and myself if you're looking for the ZX6 conversion.

Brembo monobloc needs to be 108mm spacing (for jap bikes), not ducati ones (100mm).

Anyone interested to do an airbox mod on the Gen1, please let me know. Mine is done by the previous owner and I would like to convert it back since I'm using everything else stock. Just swap the airbox so no cutting needed for you.

Oh hey bro! Sup man! =) J told me bout you guys but since there hasn't been an outing and I was caught up in exams for the past month, I haven't been to meet either or any of you.

Since I've decided to keep this bike for a longer time than my usual, I've decided that I want to do certain things to it.

Will get myself a PC V, already proven that it works for the '06, my bike runs a little too hot due to the rich AFR.

But as for the front end conversion, I am a little weary of the 27-30mm protruding out of the triple because that means I will either have to stick to stock handlebars for life, or just grit my teeth and have it mounted way too close to XXXXX handlebar I may get in the near future.

I was considering the Ohlins front forks for the gixxers since one guy on the forum managed to fit the front forks of the gixxer on, so an ohlins for gixxers should fit if the dimensions are right. Hit me up at 8238 O8O6 if you live around Jurong!

Errr, lean mixture will run hot, rich just waste petrol.

Use a tall riser and you'll clear any protrusion. Most high bend bars (with narrow center) will clear it too. I just installed 4" risers with drag bar and lowered the front (to the max). Doesn't look as ugly as some lowered 2B sportsbike due to the many things around the area blocking the view.

You prob can put 2" risers and whatever bar (other than drag) you want.

To use other forks, you need to ensure the outer diameter of the fork tube (where it clamps) is the same, the axle is the same size (where the fork clamps to). You will also need the appropriate front fender and make the right width wheel spacers. Depending on how much work you want to put it, you can pretty much put any fork on. It's just that the 636 conversion is so easy.

A few of us has done this mod and quite are handy so talk to them first. You might get better info as you can see the bike. Money is the main obstacle to more mods ;)

Damn it, mine is not unique here anymore. Used to be the only 1 with the frontend conversion.

I stay in the west too, prob meet up soon after my trip tomorrow, and then ICT :(

Who's doing up the harness for you? Meet up with saiful (Nc39) to check out his icon. And what mods u foing that require a new map?

Anyway, if u are not gonna track or are not heavy like me, u dun REALLY need to swap forks. More than e fork itself, the brake upgrade is noticable. Main reasons would be adjustability, looks and brakes. But the stockers from your well maintained bike and for your weight is fine.

The gixxer fork swap is gonna cost you a bomb for the triples and stem. Not worth e shorter length. Don't worry bout the bars, even the lowest ones clear the forks. The prob would be your tank clearance issue.

Sorry, lean. I wouldn't mind meeting up anytime soon! I'm finishing the last of my disruption in NS since I left before I ORD for further studies. See you soon.

Norman from RW will do the harness for me. Might change exhaust soon. I saw on riderforums the VFR single swingarm mod. Very tempted for that also. Meet up soon please! haha.

MEETUP!

Hi Guys! Been too long and too quite. Zedians must make ourselves heard!

Date: 31 May 2011 (tue)

Time: 2000hrs

Location: Hans @ Upp Thomson Rd

Hope as many people can make it, that's why this is a VERY EARLY notice. Especially all those who recently got their bikes. I avoid weekends as most of us wanna spend with family. So a weekday after work seems good. I'll be there earlier to "chope" seats. Hope I have enough tissue paper.

Some of us have done stuff with our bikes, and some want to start with their poison. Those who have yet to get their Zed, please do join as well! Let's care and share with each other : )

Do RSVP here, and preferably leave your phone numbers as well as I don't have a few of the new buyers' numbers. Makes it easier to organize next time as I can just mass sms.

----- RSVP -----

1. Kaoiwas (Elan) - Gen 1 - 9487 8213

2. b3nn - Gen1 - **** ****

Still cannot decide!! I actually like the 2010 black/silver colour scheme and golden exhausts, but no more tock already.

The SX is a great looking sports tourer. Aggressive styling as well. I like it too! But don't wanna ride such a huge machine around. But the boxes are god-send lah .. no need to carry haversack anymore if I buy the SX!

Dun get the sx just for the boxes. U can always install side panniers on any naked if u want. Also, thr are alot of GOOD sports tourers out thr. (vfr, busa, fjr, zx14 etc). They can be had for cheaper used.

If u get the sx, let it be for how its tuned, but with a ferring.

Anyone can recommend a very good cover for the bike if it park it outdoors. Deciding to ride it once or twice to my camp @ changi. Seldom rains but I need a canvas that really keeps the water out.
