suggest komine .. the fit is PERFECT for most singapore biuilds. dun need to pay more for big brands.

Yeah some of my friends said so too perfect cutting for Asians and prices are more reasonable. Haha speed and strength and icon has some good textile jackets too and profile Asia sells them at reasonable price. Tempted. Mesh + leather would be the most ideal but it's hard to find. I guess even if the textile gets abraded, as long as you can walk away in one piece, it just mean it did it's job. Haha

Profile Asia? Well they carry mostly Thor and icon stuff, mesh can get them sub 200 SGD. Textile would be slightly more. Their waterproof jacket is 520-570 SGD. They can bring in other stuff too like speed and strength upon request. Basically online US prices, convert to SGD plus 30- 50 SGD. That's roughly the price. It's cheaper if you get icon, Thor cos they usually bring them in, special request are slightly more expensive. But if you think about online shipping for 1-2 items, it's quite a good deal.

I have a Spyke mesh jacket I bought from LAB for $130-ish. Silver/grey and black, came with CE shoulder and elbow but no back guard.

Extremely well ventilated, no probs riding in afternoon sun even with fullface, gloves and on an air-cooled bike. Yet again, YMMV and I'm used to it, coz there's no compromise to safety..

Do u guys without bike box wear ur mesh jacket with u all the time even in shopping malls?

I think its quite troublesome to carry or wear the jacket around. I lock it to my bike. How? :deal:

Use a cable lock (3metres) and snake through one of the sleeves and lock it to your bike!

Do you know that riding at 90km/h+ without earplugs is dangerous?

Haha nice one there. If you guys are conscious about walking around in your jacket, can get those denim type looks cooler and more fashionable

Haha it will take some time to get use to it. Usually I wear my knee/shin guard outside my pants and at times walk around malls with them on. Haha though if I be walking a lot more, I take them off cos it's hot

Komine and RS Taichi make some very good fitting apparel for Asians. Especially Komine, which has "Asian S" size for slimmer riders.

I wear my Komine mesh jacket into office, complete with long boots under my dress pants. Now that my bike doesn't have boxes, I carry my full face helmet and gloves as well. Few people give me funny stares these days, cos I think I already have a "biker reputation". But of course I take off the jacket and change into normal shoes (which I keep under my desk in office).

But seriously, being bandaged everywhere will get you 100x more funny stares than wearing a mesh jacket (plus hurt like sh!t). Your safety is way more important than what people say about your riding gear. Wear proper riding gear as much as possible.

Prefer and suggest => RS Taichi .

Try to compare and test wear both and you will feel the difference.

I get mine rs taichi from motoworld around 200+ and over 1year, every week day wearing. still fresh like new!

More importantly, it doesn't feel like you are wearing tank items lol

For Konami, felt not easy! Just my personal feeling so dun take it :D

how best to wash and maintain the Taichi jacket?

Best is to soaked it in detergent water. It won't really removed all of the dirt and grime but keeps the textile in good condition. What I do now is invert the jacket inside out and dump into the washing machine. Damn clean haha
