hah hah... sidetrack a bit... tt idiot should not have loitered around the 2nd link customs area. u know wat? i did just tt today, just waiting for a friend, and the customs officer not happy, took me and my friend for a "random urine test". WTF.

 

just imagine wat should have happened to tt guy if he shout and scream in the restricted area... life is unfair

HI fellas, do any of you have the complete set of the OEM tool kit? When I bought my bike, it didn't come with it. So I was thinking of buying a brand new one from Boon Siew. But is 90bucks!

If i c tis black RVF rider, i surely jio him.Really hate those guy who bully on 2b bike. I also had a few times being sped past by SP when i am riding phantom with my wife. All so hao lian with cai behind.

Hi guys,

A few questions here hope u can clear my doubts. Thks in advance.

Yesterday my bike refuses to start. I did a physical check and found that everything was actually alright there is still lights doesn't seem like battery problem. But when i push the start button there was no sound at all, so i jump start my bike. This morning i had to jump start my bike again cause it refuses to start again. I decided to go to the motor shop at Kaki bukit. When i reach there i tried to start to my surprise it actually started... Why is this happening? Even my batt and Electric start is ok? Could it be my rectifier? Because my horn seems to be a little weird after that (No Power liao).

Yo. How did u do yr physical check? did u use a multimeter?

 

Since u were saying when u press START, no sound+Horn sounds weird, this 2 symtoms point to the battery. When my battery failed in June, my horn oso sounded weird.

 

Another thing is when was the last time u changed the battery? Good practice adopt by the lao jiaos here is change your Batt+ rectifier when the bike is in yr hands coz you do not know its servicing history in the hands of prev owners. Change them asap so u can monitor thier lifespan (typically 2 years).

 

and, did u always start yr bike up for very short trips? (this is no good for yr battery).

 

Only reason i can think of about your last question;

 

It started at the motordiam becoz during the time travelling there, the battery was been charged up sufficently by the rectifier for another start. Batteries will only get useful charging current from the rectifer when the bike's RPM is >4000 RPM.

 

Go check yr battery with a multimeter. It should not read any lower than 11V on standstill. And nothing lower than that when u on the ignition key.

I believe there isnt a KNN filter for RVF.... If you want, you need to modify it a little...

 

Changing a filter will mean u need to do settings on ur carbs.... which i think isnt too gd for RVF.... i suppose if u think its gonna be better after u fix that, then go ahead... But i personally wouldnt wanna touch them, safer that way.
