Remembered last time the Ducati monster 400 twin, rated at 40hp claimed 170.

 

Since new CB400 has 46hp, genuine 160 should be safe bet.

M400 is low slung bike = less drag. Hopefully the 400X is not too disappointing in terms of speed, give the good looks of it.

Hi,

Looking to to get a bike and being a previous super 4 user, im looking for something similar but better looking, CB 400x fits right in, but im having trouble looking for the bike. Went to AS phoon, apparently the sales person dont know anything about it. I registered my interest in Bike production forum but apparently someone called and stated if pay cash no stock...only installment got stock and hang up the phone...If you guys can point me to the right direction or even better a specific individual so at least i can do an enquiry and buy the bike -_-...and roughly OTR price.. cause apparently AS phoon quoted 18k for a super 4 brand new....Thanks!!

The bikes solfe here I heared they are all parallel import.

Of course this would mean tremendous commitment and work and research.

 

I've parallel import KTM Duke 200 before with buddies i met here. So i've got experience and know how LTA might curb you from registering but that is all settled. Not too sure about where to import, Im thinking India...Japan is quite difficult to penetrate the market unless somebody knows how to speak japanese ( I am in Japan as we speak) to talk to dealer, shipment guys, crating guys. etc.

 

FYI, KTM Duke 200, cost me 9k On the road with COE, insurance. that was last year. Negative point is, KTM dealer will not care **** about your bike. But it doesnt matter kos i go to other reputable shops and order parts thru them from KTM dealer.

 

If anybody interested, we can go for discussion. Share information and calculate if it is all worth it. If bike is sold at 14k. I bet we can get this at 12k with everything in on the road with COE etc.

 

Japan selling 6k SGD if im not mistaken. so we roughly can estimate from there how much it will all cost.

I was just reading motorcycle mag last Sun on the 500X. recalled it indicated top speed as 105mph.

 

185kmh is actually 115mph.

thats why how sales industry play games. Its either pay now or pay later. agreement fees, early redemption fees.....etc. I was advised machine price 15.5k from the shop i frequent. All these businesses have done their stats & probability.....before rolling out their promotions.

My picks would be 1 - 3 - 4 probably without hand guards.

Don't think it's wise to put panniers meant to carry lots (touring) and not put a center stand. Also easier to drop the bike if someone "tries" it by sitting, when it's on side stand only. (there should be a natural law where you die instantly if you sit on someone else's bike without their consent)
