great observation from mechwira, lots of one post warrior around for ages... either praising certain service or discriminating them...

if shop owner carefully look at the "customer experience" written in the forum, they could take it as a reference, steadily improve their service policy and minimize unpleasant incident!

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

Hi. I'm Ben,owner of Honda VTEC. I had a problem with my bike. There's a leakage on the cylinder head. I went to Unique to check the leakage. They told me the repair is about a few hundreds dollar. After they opened up everything,they quote me about $1000++. Later then after they repaired,they charged me $4100. They did send me the photo of the parts but it was from top view and very far. It was not clear. I could not see the damage. They didn't show me the wear and tear parts and the parts they changed. They didn't list down the parts they changed/repair on the receipt. Not even a proper official receipt was given to me.

He got the mechanic to check my bike. The mechanic told me only the top gasket looks new. The rest of the parts didn't look new.

 

Be careful all bikers,they will attract you with the cheap promotional items but they will charge you higher price for hidden items such as the engine. Be aware of this. Always ask them for the wear and tear parts they changed and list down the items they repair/changed. If possible,ask the mechanic to repair the bike in front of you or take a video of them repairing the bike.

 

Don't get cheated easily. Survey around for the prices. Don't hesitate to call me at 98687075 if you have any doubts on this matter.

 

You mean you are not at the shop when you send ur bike for repair in unique? and you just pay 4.1k willingly?

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

 

But to be a good rider, you have to change with your environment,and adjust yourself to its rhythm.

 

Cultivate the confidence to face the different situations. Don't let yourself to be subdued by the environment :thumb:

Why don't you call the owner and clarify instead of assuming? Are you one of the guy from the named bikeshop? Since you're not happy or anyone else who is not happy with this thing,come down to HKL. Call the owner,witness and the reporter come down and clarify the truth with you in front of everyone.

 

This kind of response just makes it even more suspicious.

Bluff, unique always got receipt one, even if I didn't like their practice of adding lots of unnecessary stuff, they still got receipt and up to you to say no.

 

Agreed. The claims made by the OP are pure bullshit based simply based on the fact that Unique has never failed to give a proper (and itemised, mind you) machine-printed receipt for every single purchase I've made, even for just one can of degreasing spray.

 

They're not cheap because you're paying for overheads like that, but considering that they're one of the few businesses I know of that publish their prices (seriously, who else in the industry does that?), it's highly unlikely that they're the sort that would brazenly attempt a con job or be able to get away with it.

 

Benhonda, you're either a liar or incredibly stupid. Either way I thank you for the entertainment.
