Well, if you got some urgent matters to attend to, you can tell Ah Chong to do your bike first.

When I go Planet, I just wait lah. Most of the time, there are simply too many customers.

Actually Ah Chong's method is more on Practicality.

Those easy to do one, like changing light blub, go first.

When I go to change engine oil, sometimes they also let me wait, which is ok, because it gives the Engine oil time to cool. So it's a bit of welfare. Can you imagine having hot oil spill on your hand when you unscrew the oil cap?

And those that are urgent cannot wait also given piority.

So it's a bit of give and take as well. :D

30th time at Planet.

Went there after a MOB manning exercise, since the place is near.

Changed a snapped speedo cable, for my GSXR, Ah Chong asked if the cable snapped because I go 180km/hr.

There was also an Ang Mo, who came with a 650 cc off road tourer type of bike, Ah Chong took out the left balancer and told the owner to keep it, later can use to throw at people who overtake him recklessly on the roads.

Next week going again this time to change the headlight bulb of my Phantom, and also to change Engine oil. :)

(crap, forgot to ask him for price to install crashbar...)

Installing a crashbar on phantom is rather straight forward.. just mount and screw on. If u see any other phantoms with crashbars in carparks, observe & u shld have no trouble doing it.

31st time at Planet

Forget the date liao, but was there for a simple Engine oil change and a blown light bulb.

When I was there, there were 3 GSXR400, seems like a day for Gixxers.

When back soon after my maintenance, and asked for directions to Motoworld from Ah Chong. :)

32nd Time at Planet!

24/01/2009 05:40pm

I was going to install a stainless steel rack for the top box, so I pop by Planet to remove the screws that were rusted.

While I was there, I thought I might as well get my Phantom back into shape for the next annual inspection.

The Mech who serviced my bike was the rough looking fellow, nice guy though once you get to know him, he used WD40 to looses the rust before loosening the screws, and also adjusted the lever for the brake light, (I found out that my pedal brake wasn't working) before replacing a dimming blub above the number plate upon my request.

Later I found out from Ah Chong the Mech's nick name was "San Wei" (3 flavours) because he used to run a desert stall selling "San Wei" don't know how true it is, because later Ah Peng said they don't want to bluff me, and Ah Chong cracked a dirty joke and said the name "San Wei" is actually because he likes his women that way!

So I also crack a dirty joke of my own, and asked Ah Chong he so powerful ah?

One time got 3 women, Indian, Malay and Chinese to get 3 flavours?!?!

Funny Boss, Kakaka!

While there I also met Lawbah and Mark, and wished them Happy Chinese New Year! :D

Think Planet will re-open on Feb 2, Monday.

Did my chain and forks this week. Yahoo!

Is it confirmed that Ah Chong will open his shop only on Monday? Argg my bike is leaking!
