Anyone been to Plaza Singapura top floor? Can't believe they have sword and knife shops there. Pity they dun have a Highlander samurai sword (Either Duncan or Connor McLeod's sword is fine)

to keep a samurai sure needs a liscense.. but think in sg its quite costly

You only need to be registered with a sword school to carry a sharp katana.

If you're buying katanas from Liang Seng, etc, those are only meant for display and will break if u attempt to do test cutting.

No a good thing if you're thinking of using one to defend yourself too.

Owner's licensing in SGP is actually just paperwork. It's importing the weapons that get's costly.

I'm licensed to bring in katanas and Benchmades, hence, am familiar with the procedures.

so is it legal to carry a folder on your pocket, clipped or hidden?

i've been carrying everyday clipped on my front pocket... and now im worried lol

An everyday carry blade should have a blade length of less than 4inches. Usually, a 3.25" blade has enough stopping power when deployed, and yet, not lethal.

I train and teach knife techniques in specialised courses designed for military, law enforcement, and martial arts classes and we work with everyday carry blades.

So yes, it is legal until deployed. After which, it is a situation of explaining the term 'necessary force'.

I should take lessons from you, both in defense and the paperwork procedures.

Not a problem. Just drop me a message when you're interested in attending the class proper.

Saw in Singapore for over S$200++++ about 3 months back and about 1 year back that same shop was selling for $300++. My friend who help me bought this spyderco bought himself a SOG knife and cost only S$65!
