Hey Sinbingai,

I think you should give some well known brands of inner liner a look before you buy. Unless of course, the one you already looking at is of a reputable brand.

IMO, our hobby is by no means a fashion, clothes and accessories can tear and break, leaving us with just a frown. To be frank, inner liners do much more than many people think.

Firstly, they make it easy for you to get your suit on, an inner liner with the right material will also keep you cool in our equatorial heat.

More importantly, they also protect your skin when you crash. Why?

Imagine crashing (I have been there on more occasions than I like), If you had a lousy or NO inner liner under your leathers, your skin would probably still get damaged because of your leathers bunching up from the friction created from contact with the road. A good inner liner can let the leathers slide over your skin and bunch up, WITHOUT pinching your skin.

I have seen many good inner liners out there such as:

KOMINE

RS TAICHI

DAINESE

I bought my KOMINE liner from Motorworld for about 100 bucks MORE THAN 2 YEARS AGO. They were the first liners I have ever bought. They have outlasted 3 suits, 4 bikes, countless trackdays to PG and SEPANG, where we wear them the WHOLE day riding to and fro from Singapore; and quite a few crashes.

They have not torn, thinned, given up and the stitching still looks strong. They are probably good for at least another year.

What I am trying to say here is that chances are that if you buy cheap, you are probably going to buy twice. This sport is cruel and can bite hard on your health and wallet if given the chance.

So as a fellow biker, with no animosity and offence intended, I would advise you to get an expert opinion first before buying.

I honestly think that choosing exclusively based on price will be a mistake.

Komine & RS Taichi - Motorworld - Kenji, KP or James.

Dainese - JR Holdings - Deraj

RS Taichi - Biketech 21

Cheers,
