hmm.. from wat i see he meant that among so many riders with dat type of bike.. not much can utilise.. including me... and i got friends who dun abuse the bikes too.. some do some dun.. if nid to calculate a percentage.. i am sure the % of dun are quite high..

 

locally we simply cant do much.. unless they go north and equip with skills + guts... had been to north but i still dun do it actually... prefer a low and mid range power...

Well... Yeap ofcourse, each to his own. Not many who ride a sportsbike a speed junkie, just like I'm one of those poseurs who go to the track and take photos, but timing still slow like turtle. But realising that factories do not actually call them sportsbikes if they have good rideability with low-end torque, you can't expect it to perform for the real world just for that handful of "artists". That would greatly disappoint those need-for-speed isn't it? Their tachos are meant to reach the redline! Haga would probably give Yamaha the boot if they built the R1 with good low-end torque and poor high revs.

 

I hope you are not seriously thinking that a sportsbike is meant to be ridden like a cruiser or something. I'm sure the MV Brutale would fit the bill better in that sense, or ride some Monster with Termis.

I totally agree... I used to ride a 02 R1... At that point of time, everyone standing along Yishun Dam will know what kind of bike i am riding....Especially the gers..Hehe... But now, after i have changed to a Duke, ppl look at me like i am an Alien from Pluto... And there is one comment that i almost fainted... A young gal said: " Eeee, Ducati where got good, R1 the best" All my friends nearly fell of the railing that they were sitting on...

haha... well dun worry.. i rode a 1520 cc cruiser cum tourer b4.. so i noe wat is the feeling.. but for me.. i dun ride hard actually.. haha... mayb i did really consider the after mathe of riding hard for me.. even my cagiva raptor 1000 i din really push it to its limits.. where its quite easy to do so... not say a zx10r...

 

actually i quite like a brutale.. but of cos.. if am gg to spend dat sum of $$ for a mv.. i would go for f4 1st for my opinion.. den after when i old lioa.. can trade in for brutale...

 

had mistaken it for an african twin a few weeks ago when i was travelling home along pie from far rear at night.. as i went close.. i saw the side frame.. den i juz go slowly beside him and thumbs **... hahaha... i dun really disturb ppl but i get piss off when cars wan to prove they are faster.. dats when the bike will be rode abit harder....

cruiser - HD

Red bike - Ducati

Sport bike - R1

Scooter - Vespa

For 3 yrs of my 748 ownership, a chinese dude around 35 yrs old, who shares the same MSCP, keep insisting that I'm riding a Mito...and each time I told him it's a 748, he take it I'm making a fool out of him. Funny is that, if he is so sure that it's a Mito, why bother asking me all the time???? Been thru the same sh|t too, lol.

Uncle (riding 110 wave): "Wah, li eh motor jin dua jia hor?" (ur motor very big hor)

Me: "Haha.. Buay lah... Jiat you jin dang leh. " (Not really lah.. High FC leh)

Uncle: "Hmm... Nng bah gor CC?" (250 cc?)

Me: "Ah tio, nng bah gor. Li eh zh** gor CC?" (Yeap correct, 250. Yours 15 cc?)

 

Even the mechanic was laughing at the whole drama.
