depends on your needs. choosing by cc should not be the way. travelling on an NC700 against a GSX-R600 would be very different experience, beyond just 700cc vs 600cc. you also have to think about wat kind of touring style you will do.

either based on your own comfort zone, or the general level of a group that you might be travelling with, are you going to cruise at 160kmh? above 200kmh? if you have a group of friends on sportsbikes or sports tourers who will do high speed blast down NSH, you cant possibly be on something like the NC700 coz you'll just get left behind. but if your group is more casual, or you're travelling alone, this won't be an issue.

and then how far? if long distance, will you need comfort over performance? luggage requirements? if you plan further than KL or even to thailand, then a sportsbike of watever cc is going to be a challenge.

so dun make decision based on cc. once you hit class 2, there's a whole variety of bikes to suit various needs.

Spot on.

Actually, small bikes have their appeal too. Ride slowly, keep to the left, and just enjoy the breeze as you feel the single cylinder pumping in rhythm below you.

never regret getting a CLS2 ride, despite it may be a little unnecessary but lovin every minute with it!

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

Looks wise, we have our opinions, but if mostly in SG, litre IL4 is overkill & excessively hot.

agreed. signboards displayed speeding kills should ad in 2 slow also kills. percentage of accidents, small versus big cc tells.

That's a nice bike with the twin underseat zorst. Using that bullet proof 919 engine. Understand from mag that its torquey from just tickover. :)

Then you will despise V-twins, the Ducati ones. Far hotter than the IL4s.

Think any bike let it be 2B, 2A or 2 is more practical than most cars. From an engineering point of view, it's more efficient to transport someone than a car, it's light, uses less fuel, less CO2 foot print and takes up so much lesser space on the road. Car is big, heavy, uses so much fuel, yes you can take 5 pax but how often you see a full car on the road. Same goes for the boot, it's not used all the time. Yes it rains, it gets wet, you can get ruined down by lorries but study has shown, riders are generally happier and more risk takers so go figure.

I bet 99% of us riders will buy a class 2 bike if their financial allows it, whether or not it's really practical in spore. It's just something you cannot explain. I suggest you go to a bike shop and seat in every bike you can find. Sooner or later you will fall in love. Also I feel from my years of riding, minimum in would want is 600cc. Enough power and torque for 2 up riding. Max? All depends on how much you wanna pay for insurance and road tax haha

Lol visordown bro. basically bikers are number 1 most happiest ppl compared to runners, cyclist, anglers etc

Secondly apparently there might be something in our genetics that make us buy a bike and ride them. Something in the genes that makes us bikers more risk tolerant that others haha
