Haha redline water wetter must mix, cool aide premix but guess either one. Too bad most shops only carry engine ice and now got Evans waterless coolant.

What's not good about engine ice?

personally for me, its not that engine ice is "not good", but that its just a fancy name for what is essentially normal motorcycle coolant.

cool-aid and water-wetter on the other hand, is not 'coolant' in the traditional sense. if i'm not wrong they contain no anti-freeze. we dun need anti-freeze, and the anit-freeze chemical makes it LESS effective at carrying heat away. cool-aid and water-wetter only contains anti-corrosion and anti-bubbling chemicals, giving you only wat you absolutely need for coolant in our climate without anything unnecessary that will reduce its cooling ability.

thats just my take. i can tell you though that my temp gauge behaved noticeably differently between "normal coolant" (including engine ice) and cool-aid.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

Best coolant is pure water cos it can move so much heat away from the important components of an engine but with no corrosion inhibitor, it's risky unless you flush often.

I have no idea how the Evans will perform but heard some said that your bike thermostat isn't design for it and yes coolant boil over is nearly impossible but theory is it's unable to move heat away fast enough thus adding stress to the engine. Also if you have a coolant leak, you can't simply just dump water into the reservoir so that add complications.

To come back to thread topic of class 2 in spore, HD are great bikes, lots of history and character. Though most of them are air cooled oil heads, it's definitely gonna be warmer. It's heavy but most of it is down low so CG super low so it's stable in most cases. But damn try to do a U turn on it or wrestle it in some spore traffic, you curse and swear. most riders just wait in lane like cars. Maintenance wise normal like any bikes but parts won't be as easy as those japs. and belts must be change when due, dont temp fate and extend services for them.

The only unpractical thing about Evans is when there's leaks. Other than that its better.

Ducati is okay. The worst is Yamaha bikes. I've ridden both and I can safely say that Yamaha bikes are damn hot.

I have to Agree on this... Pretty true

i m going to start my cl2 practical 1 this sunday n m now searching for suitable cl2 bike in near future. was considering Tmax or CBR600, will scooter escape the fate of the hot engine? Is CBR600 known to produce lots of heat too?

I always thought my superfour is abnormal to produce so much heat near my tight, my friend always complain abt it when he tried riding. Now i know is normal that she behave this way

a 600cc inline4 in a sports configuration.......

let me put it this way. after a good ride, it suddenly rained. steam was visibly rising up from my top clamp (from radiator). driver beside me glanced one time, did a double take and looked in horror thinking my bike had caught fire.

but its normal. stuck at traffic jam, you will suffer. but thats also normal. its built to withstand that kind of heat, it wont damage even in traffic jam (assuming radiator/fan is working properly). but you will suffer if you hate the heat, especially if the super4 exactly same engine 200cc smaller you already find not comfortable.

So ideally scooter is a better choice for comfortable n speed n also solve the heat problem. nowadays maxi scooters looks so sexy

Scooter is very good for commuting but not spirited ride

tmax or myroad should b quite good for long distance ride without compromising much of the speed. i m not talking abt speeding at 230km/hr, even if the bike permits me to do so, my LP not big enough handle the speed. anything around 150km/hr without straining the bike is good enough for me

Yup that's right... good enough to provide some form of protection during light drizzle and luggage packs.

Only sports tourer or sportbikes can gives you some aggressive riding

A bike's well-being so dependent on its radiator/fan...not very reliable is it?

same for cars n any other machinery, no radiator or fan, engine will overheat

FYI, racebikes got no fans.

Cos the bikes are going forward fast enough to drive backwards-moving air into the rads..?

Ride fast..ride safe..don't crash...

race bikes dun get stuck in traffic jams either.....

go install a fan switch, rather waiting for your bike get to 100 degree than open fan, just switch on the fan when u start your bike, at least it help to delay abit for your bike to get overheat.

Your bike won't overheat but it will take longer for it to reach optimum operating temp leading to inefficiency, more fuel consumption and you gonna drain your battery unnecessarily.

Talking about class 2 bikes. Which shops are recommended for servicing and maybe some valve clearance and suspension tuning..? Want to look for another shop other than my usual shop now..

yeah, just on during half way trip then, no need to on when the moment u start your bike also. As long as using good battery shouldn't be a problem.
