How's CB750 as compared to Super 4 in terms of feature?

unless your are a real easy rider than this bike will suit u. from what i heard cb750 need to by pass some electrical stuff then u get a bit more power. dun quote me, i got this info by hear say. i have ridden together with a fren who rode his dad's cb750 to Kuatan and he got left out behind the pack. he was saying something like this 'knn, 4th gear can drag to 160 then 5th gear liao drop to 140 sia.....!!!!' dunno if he exagerated or not, but he was really left behind. i ride 400 still can maintain in the middle of the pack with a bit of struggle. i think that bike is more suited for bikers who prefer a slower pace. it's more of a bike to ride around the streets than to tour.

as for cb 1000, it seems like it is very rare liao. it's a torquey bike. heard good reviews about it. it is something u wanna get if u want a super 4 but wanted it bigger and more powerful.

cb1300-also very torquey. get this bike for touring u'll get windblast for free  that's the only bad point i heard. otherwise everything else is good.

i'm a honda and the cb family fan :D . maybe i'm biased.

ah, if u are looking for nakeds, can try the XJR 1300. seen from a japanese magazine and score very good points together with other popular bikes like the R1.

i reckon the Fazer 1000 with the detuned R1 engine is top among all nakeds.

oic.. smokin thanx for yr help!!!!

actually i am considering a few options also... i would like to own a Fazer1000 but the price tag is too much nearly 18000. now scouting for old old FL St1100 or used CB1.... no choice no money.....

FL ST1100 can only get you around for one year the most. You have to be prepared to renew the COE and pay increased road tax because it is more than 10 years old.

Prepare to spend on some worn out parts too. :pity:

Suzis tend to depreciate very fast, resale value super low. that's what i always see. anyone disagree

thought that fazer 1000 is hovering around $16500? Bandit now comes in 1400cc but i would rather get an old VMAX.

for Hornet, you can ask Mah motors for the price. They come in all sizes e.g. 250, 900 and 1300. (600 not advertised, maybe out of production  ).

most of the machine prices listed by the bikeshops are more or less the same...+/- not much diff..

OTR price depends on your insurance, GST, IU and other factors..

Do consider clearly before getting a new bike cos of the depreciating factors..

Gd luck..

i'm riding a CB750. Bike performance is not only on the bike but on the rider too. wat i get to know is that there aint much young CB750 rider out there. So the chances of over taking a CB750 is easy cos the rder is much older. If u ask me abt my bike, i have try on a S4 vR, vS, PB1 n spec2... any time i can over take... of cos i did some mod on my bike.. n it seems to me dat some of the s4 rider aint that steady with their bike. u cant compare a 400cc n 750cc bike unless u ride it urself n compare its power. Abt the power dut... i didnt know or hear abt it b4. FH plate Cb750 belongs to nighthawk cat. Current CB750 is having the same engine as nighthawk but there is some mod in the current CB750. that is all i can tel u guys. If i have said anything wrongly, pls enlighten me. Thanks!

my advise don't buy spec 2 unless you can pay full sum or if you not selling it later on under hire purchase. cos right now market price for spec2 is around 8.5k, so if you buy at 11k, you lose a lot.

i totally agree with mr darren on the above.

if you buy a cb750, u r definitly not someone in for some kind of top ends. i.e 260km/h.....fazer1 ????

its a gentlemen bike.

you wouldn't see cb750 squeezing recklessly in traffic, speeding hell-lessly or cornering to the limit.

but i think super4 can definitely overtake my cb750.

the question is ... for how long you can maintain .???

at 160km/h super4 is sprinting,

cb750 is walking fast.

ah liu .

once a honda

still a honda

honda again!

always a honda

Honda..........a...a.a..a

Hi, after reading your comment.....I have this to say from my experience.

I have just bought a CB750 this year 2007 and faces the problem of 4th and 5th gear which cannot drag to 8,000 rpm. It was a disaster as the bike splatter around 5,000 rpm. After sending in my bike for carb cleaning and tuning...it is still the same!

Lucky for me the shop has an pre-owned (exact same) model CB750 and the mechanic exchange the meter to test as he suspected the rpm electronic card to be malfunctioning. After the swop, the bike rev eagerly till redline.

Now, my bike can go 180km/h @ 8,200 rpm and can hold that speed effortlessly, without modification.

I am now satisfied and know that the CB750 is a powerful bike. Maybe a Super4 can catch a CB750.....but I think it will be after much heavy modification.

Thanks for taking your time to read my opinion.

Juz my 2 cents worth of opinion here, i owned a nitehawk 750 n a super4 verS b4, It's the Torque of the 750 tat makes a diff otr than cc if i were 2 compare these 2 bikes.
