did u take out the airbox yrself or did the bikeshop did it for u?

if u did it yrself, u need to get some A/F mixture tuning done

 

after the airbox is removed, what do u have in place? aftermarket air filter? nothing?

if its nothing left, i hope u dont need to travel in the rain or along dusty areas before u get some form of a replacement filter asap

i nv get it out.they say if get out need to replace wif a file.lolz.i only take out the Cover of the airbox.den my engine sound or what changed.is it illegal to do taT?btw is shop take out for me.

Take out air box / modified air intake is perfectly LEGAL...

If u pl not sure pls dun anyhow comment giving incorrect answers.. u can check out the list of approved mods w/o LTA aproval listed on onemotoring.com

Not only can you ruin the carb you can also shorten the life of the piston and cylinder wall, as well as engine bearings. All the dirt and grit normally caught by the air filter is sucked directly into the engine, where, just like sandpaper or sand blasting, the grit begins to score cylinder walls and wear out the rings. Some of the grit will make its way into the oil, and as the oil is pushed through bearing surfaces the grit will begin to score the bearing surfaces.

 

I learned this the hard way many years ago with an old Toyota Corolla that I owned. Too the air cleaner off because it was broken and wouldn't stay fastened. In about a year my engine lost compression

i confirm he only took out the cover of the air bOx.my fren took out air box he got put a file there to cover the hole.he said cannot touch water anyway.den i think mafan i don wan remove.lol.

i'm using the file method. after reading strongeagle's post, kinda worried. better consult my mech if there is any other way to achieve similiar amt of air, but with a filter in place. |:

 

bikes without airbox sounds louder compared to those with. hence maybe that's the issue. TP may say why your bike so loud. although i know LTA approves of aftermarket air filter as long as it's specifically for your car/bike model. you can find the guidelines at onemotoring website.
