Change your air filter to K&N to increase your air flow if you have not done so.

I believe your mechanic is recommending you to change your jet kit... i reckon is not really necessary since most of us are not using it and going at 160km/h is really not an issue...

since your bike is pretty new and low mileage, valve clearence might not be needed as well...

i guess the best bet is to wash and tune your carb... is much cheaper than your other options...

hi,

one of the design difference between a PB1 n vtec exhaust is PB1 is 4-1 n vtec is 4-2-1.

4-1 meaning 4 extractor combine into 1. 4-2-1 meaning 4 extractor combine into 2 then 1. U take a look at ur front part of ur exhaust n u will know wat i'm saying.

4-1 is meant for more troque purpose. whereas 4-2-1 is meant for higher speed. So looking at ur required crusing speed. both exhaust design should meet ur needs. But a 4-2-1 will be a better choice, cse if u 1 2 go faster then tat, it will b more suitable. but if u always do city riding with a lot of stop-go then 4-1 will b suitable cse it produces more troque, making it more responsive.

hope this help

Anyone knows if there is any ways to repair dented exhaust headers or reshaped it back? Is there any shop that does that?

Recently noticed that there's a dent in my header. Think it's dented when going over a hump cos it's right at the bottom - at one of the "4" pipes just before joining to become "2" there.

Yah , lets say yoshimura ? you have to go down motorworld and do a transfer of name from the seller to you which is e buyer ..Transfer about less than $20 ?

After which you have to bring your bike fitted with the pipe to a inspection ...

which is about$50 plus ?

the 'paperwork' at is just a 5 mins job of giving you the exhaust specification. and they certifying that the exhaust is installed according to approved specification (that is they dun modify anything so as to be compilance to LTA).

however, you have to watch out on how much motorshop will charge for re-installation and paperwork. i guess the 'market rate' is $20 - $50 depends if you are regular or not...

Just bought my Spec 3 not long ago. Rides like a breeze..... Only problem is when i did not use my bike for more then 12hrs or so, when i start the igintion, upon starting up the engine, there will be a very loud 'bang' or 'pop' sound coming from the exhaust. This happened about 3-4 times since i bought the bike less then a month old. Is this normal? Has anyone experience this before or am i the only sway one? Pls share your experiences if you encountered this problem before. Will ask Boon Siew's mechanics when i go for my 2nd servicing some time next week. Cheers!

Yah i suspect it is backfire. But i thought backfire only happens when you are riding? And i also thought Super 4s won't have this problem? Only probably bikes like phantoms will have? Hmm..... :bouncefire:

pufferfish_76, i'll confirm with you when I send my bike for servicing, should be ard next week. Try asking also the Boon Siew mechanics if your bike is still under warranty.
