Yes... Yes... My DNA was with Des for 1 month for touch-up , new paint job and changed some stock parts.

I think you might have mistaken me for someone else. I am not the person that you saw at the ten mile junction. Anyway, never mind.

Heard from Des, your DNA are also very well maintained. Care to meet-up? I am going down to Des's place this Firday to fix my signal light and maybe fix up my whoop disc brake.

It would be good to see another DNA beside mine. Cheers

Hi all,

Sorry for MIA for so long. Been busy with work and working on my DNA. Just spent the last 2 night reading the posting.

Well, time to report on my DNA. So far so good, no major problem. Change to malossi multivar, delta clutch maxi and malossi 12g rollers . Ordering ( Coming soon ) DNA Whoop brake disc and bitubo shock. Spending a lot of money on this ride , i am planing to keep this bike as you can hardly find it anymore in Singapore.

It's very difficult to find parts to replace. I have to order from agent and usually have to wait for a long time.

Will there be an outing soon? i have not seen a single DNA on the road. Hope to see what the rest of you have done to your DNA and let me have a chance to pimp my DNA. . ha..ha...

Hey Joe, nice to know that you're still hangin' on there and still loving the ride!

WOW!!! :lovestruck: :lovestruck: :lovestruck: Some really neat plans you have on your DNA!! THE TRICKEST DNA IN TOWN IS BORN (soon)!! Lovely!

BTW, you sure got bitubo shocks to fit a DNA180?? I checked with Des/ Mezzo/ PM Tuning before.. Non of them was sure... I manage to find a pair off a webby, but I was highly sceptical about that. Even scooter centre doesn't seem to have it.

Unless you're using a version meant for other makes, and modifying it to fit. Its a strange (long-ish) length, thus might not be able to find many compatible ones in the market..

Cheers dude! Hang around here more oftten.

Ya.. Its good to clarify with him. Its NOT the same ones as the vxr runner... Neither is it the same as those RXZ/ Super 4 ones... Those are too short, even if the height is adjustable, when maxxed out, will still be shorter than the stock shocks. Gotta lower the forks as a result to compensate.

cheers!

Thank you. The one that des showed me is not those for VXR runner one. The one is longer and the spring is not red but black in colour. As i am new to biking, i am not so sure also. Will check with him again. What shock is suitable for DNA? Do you have any idea? Thank you

Haha, yeah. Let me tell you a story, a nong nong time ago, there was a young boy, just bought his gilera DNA, very happy, then realise the rear suspension was rubbish, hunt high and low, cannot find suitable one, cause DNA one were very narrow and long, 330mm to be exact he change, then realise, the foot peg knocks the transmission air intake, and had to max out the rear suspension, you might have to put those "MAT" shock extenders!

Cheers

Hmmm, friday I finish at 4, what time will you be there?

Ha..ha....Dna really have limited goodies . i have a question to ask. So does this mean that if i have a "mat" extention, i can use the bitubo shock? Is this how it works?

I will be there in the afternoon till maybe 4pm . I am not sure, it will depend how fast he can fix my whoop disc. It will be good if i can see you bike. Still have a lot to learn from you guys.

Heyz, actually there are quite a bit of goodies out there, like my touring windscreen, the DNA pillion seat bag, etc, actually alot of parts can fit onto a DNA, at most must do abit of drilling or milling!

Cheers

I got a dumb question, can we use a x9 rim and forks on a DNA? He he he, cause some of the X9's got a disc brakes, wander if the same thing can be done on a DNA!

Cheers...

Bro no prob. We'll talk more when we meet.

Yes. The same type as wave's.. Just ask them if they're 330mm just to make sure.. They're the same as the RXZ's items as well.

Cheers!

Apparently they won't fit dude.. The X9 uses those scoot system of steering cone/ stem/ fork assembly. While the DNA uses the typical-bike-type of triple clamp/ steering cone/ fork assembly.

So if you wanna do a double front disc set up for DNA, you'll have to source for a pair of forks/ steering cone/ triple clamp with double disc config from any 'normal' bike and get an X9's rim/ discs/ callipers/ brake hoses, machine the proper brackets for the brake callipers and bingo! Easier said.. Ha.

Cheers!

Guys, is this a good way to adjust jetting?

1) Remove the air box, leaving the air intake manifold.

2) Run the engine till normal running temperature, and let it idle at 1700RPM.

3) Slide something flat over the air intake to choke off the intake of air.

4) Watch for a change in RPM.

Increase in RPM mean lean mixture, and decrease is a rich mixture? So, increase in RPM mean I use a bigger jet, a decrease and I use a smaller jet?

Hey SpecC, actually tires for the DNA are quite limited, 14 inch if I am not wrong, actually the stock tires are already quite thick, nearly three times thicker then those cubs! I think we got three to choose from, the Pirelli stock ones, the Michelin Gold Standards, and Bridgestone hoops...

Cheers

Hey Daniel if ur toking abt locally I will say yes...but if you are really into it, actually there r some better choices...but it kinda hard n expensive to get it in n indeed the profile for DNA's rear is hard to find :goodluck:

Your jetting done?

Not quite dude.. First time at pg after sooooOoo long.. I left it rich. In case I blow that bugger up.. haha.

But it was quite an experience though — to be riding a bike with such razor-thin powerband.. To keep within the powerband takes some time gettin used to. And of course, the too-tall-gearing and stock ultra-wide gear ratio didn't help. BTW, that's the 'stock' 125Z moto I'm refering...

But nevertheless, still enjoyed ourselves even though I'm slooOOoow.. Hey spidey, next time go must show me some pointers k???? I'm gonna rectify some of the other stuffs ie gearing/ jetting/ setup before the next trip down.. Cheers!!!!!!!

Nurse wins right to sunbathe naked

Court overrules neighbour's protest

May 27, 2006

THE man saw more than what he had bargained for when his 55-year-old neighbour sunbathed in the buff.

But Mr Morien Jones, 34, was neither titillated nor amused.

He videotaped her and, armed with the evidence, complained to the police that her cottage garden was not private enough for such behaviour.

CHARGED WITH INDECENT EXPOSURE

Ms Lynett Burgess, a nurse and occupational therapist who lives in the village of Llandyfriog in Wales, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure, reported The Times.

On Wednesday, however, the court found her not guilty.

Mr Jones had told the court: 'I was renovating the back of my home with a local builder when Ms Burgess appeared in her garden.

'She walked back and forth completely naked and I went to get my video camera to record the incident.

'I have been extremely shaken by this. It has been very upsetting and worrying.

'I don't want to bring up my children in such an environment.'

Mr Jones and his wife, Nia, a teacher, have three children aged 4, 10 and 12.

The family said they could see clearly into their neighbour's back garden from their home.

Prosecutor Maggie Hughes said that sunbathing nude, even in the privacy of one's own garden, was not normal behaviour.

She said: 'A woman exposing her lower region could be grossly offensive to normal decent persons in society.'

She asked Ms Burgess: 'What kind of kick do you get from this behaviour?'

Ms Burgess replied: 'How dare you. I take exception to the word kick and find you prudish.'

Miss Hughes said: 'I may be prudish but it's not normal for people to sunbathe in the nude.'

Magistrate Trevor Emberton told Ms Burgess: 'You have admitted sunbathing naked from time to time and that this has become a normal pattern.

'We do not accept that you intended to cause harm or distress and, therefore, find you not guilty.'

After the hearing, Ms Burgess, who has a 20-year-old daughter, said that she regularly sunbathed in a secluded area of her garden.

She said: 'Sometimes I would wear a top and pants, sometimes I would go topless, sometimes nude.

'It depended on how hot it was.

'Lots of people do it in places like Greece and Kos.

'I don't find anything wrong with it.

'How they were able to see me, I just don't know.

'In court, they said they could see me on all fours. It is not a position I would take for sunbathing.'

Ms Burgess, who has lived in the village for six years, added: 'I'm glad to get this over and done with.

'I have been very distressed about it.

'I thought I was going to prison.

'It has been a horrific experience.'

'I intend moving away from the area and getting on with my life and occupation.

'I've lived more or less as a hermit since this blew up and I now want to put it behind me.'

Mr Jones said of the court's decision: 'We're absolutely heartbroken by the result.

'This woman has been making our lives a misery.'

oic.. well thats a good move cause i always blow it by wanting power in a hurry... damn... haha well i changed my jetting and gearing in this sepang race and achieved a higher top speed on the main straight... 209km/h where i only had 205km/h the last time... believe still can be improved but my timing was affected my the torquey engine... it went higher.. maybe i also need to get use to the power too... i fell during qualifying man... sad... turn 4 with the ground damped from rain..

Wat pointers u toking about? jetting or riding?

RIDE TO THE LIMIT OF YR BIKE!
