What sugaya kit u mean? Pipe or SAPC? I had a sugaya pipe, and a kit SAPC... But not both sugaya ones..

But in anycase, wheter be it stock, arrows, sugaya or whatsoever, it should rev clean and strong from 8k till power sign off... I won't say 13K la... Thats a bit too much I would say... Slightly over-revving the engine already.. Tho it'll definitely rev to that figure, but pwer is signing off already...

Bottom end is crap while the powerband is pretty strong and hard-hitting..

Yr bike sputtering and misfiring at 8k onwards huh?

hm... something like that but not as easy as it seems... its seems like rich while handling but well i dunno.... have not encountered such difficult to solve jetting before.... its like i have to change the whole jetting spec.... but before that i wanna check if its the valves settings that is misleading me..

Hey Guyss!!

I'm here!! I mean.... it's so hard to find a DNA club here in SG.

So happy that I found you guys....

Bought mine last December from Asp, cost $5,700. Fell in love with it at first sight.

However, I'm getting frustrated with it cos there are some recurring problems.

The fuel pipe keeps leaking somewhere where I can't locate. I can only see fuel splattering out from the bottom of the bike. Happened a few times liao, but everytime the Gilera people just said fuel pipe leak.

Also discovered that the bike seems unstable when cornering, esp the front part. Any way to solve that?

Hmm....sorry for asking so many things on my first post... Just happy that I've found a group of guys with the same rare bike. At least can ask for advice.... haha.

Welcome!!

The fuel hose leakage is very common... Fuel hose hardened, thus cracked up... Depends on how they rectify the prob.. I suspect they just did it the lazy way—cutting off the affected part, and re-connecting back the connections.. Go back and demand that they change ALL the fuel hose tubings for you if yrs is under warranty.. Do it b4 yr warranty expires.. It'll be costly to repair outside. Cos its rather difficult to get to all the fuel hoses.. At most, pay for yr own hose, and get them to change it for you. Reason being—it kept reappearing, it doesn't make any sense to keep going back..

Handling-wise, I can't help you much as I haven't been able to get it sorted as well.. Well, its decent handling.. But not great compared to sportsbike lor.. Better than any other scoot I suppose.. Prime suspect is the suspension system.. Not very good..

Cheers

Hi guys,

Thanks spiderman for helping me out yesterday, managed to fix the problem by charging up the battery with my 12V DC quick charger. Luckily she went "dry" while I was still at home.

Was just wondering, is it feasible to put a steering damper in a DNA?

Lastly, welcome to the group! Now we have 5!

Cheers...

Hmm...okie.... Thanks...

In fact, I got so frustrated at one point over all the recurring probs (in the beginning, they gave me the wrong rims, so everytime i pump air into the tyre, it will be flat the next day) that I wrote in to their regional director. Hmm...on hindsight, think i just earned myself a "smelly" name...haha.

Yup...thanks for the advice. One more thing though, the bike seems really bumpy when going over uneven road....you could almost feel every bump on the road....think it's the suspension....

Also, ever checked under the main engine section? It's like made of some sort of plastic....when i bruch my finger over it, white powdery stuff comes off.... is it normal? I mean....looks like crumbling... haha...

Hey, yours is blue in colour? Hmm...the ones i see(if i see one - it's so difficult to spot) are mostly blue. Mine's red. Yellow is umm......really rare....

But when I spot a DNA on the road, I really get excited... it's like... "Hey, buddy!" Haha....

Yeah, the suspension is really bad on the DNA, as what most pillions tell me. Anyway, I have a similar problem with the white powder, seems like it is my battery leaking and so the white powder in my case is dried up battery acid crystals...

Cheers...

By the way I saw a yellow DNA at serene centre today...

The aftermarket suspension is quite ok, more visually appealing then performance for the one I bought, as it does not really damp much at all
