Yeah, that sound seems more related to an electronic then mechanical issue, had that when my battery was a bit weak. TwisterX, hehe, quite rare to see 2 red DNA's on the same road, it would look really cool though! Anyway, I always see this yellow DNA parked near the Hard Rock cafe...

Cheers...

Ok, Daniel and Spidey, lets pack our 'kay see tao' (hokkien for Tools), and time for a "Cannibalism Party' tonight!! haha.

Dun tell twisterx, he's from SPF...

HA!

Yeah, as they say,"It is only a crime, if you get caught." Man hunt! I wish sia, I too flabby, going for shooting competition, anyway, wanna see if thailand sell the "chatterbox" system, as my gf and I hate shouting at each other while on the DNA, by the way, tire threads for LTA inspection should be no less then 1.6mm?

Cheers...

My fren had it... Pretty crap leh... Most of the time, its too noisy cos of the winds at high speed travelling. Unless both of your uses fullface. BTW, Ah boy also sells it what.. Why for go bk to search?? I dun think they're selling imported stuffs at good price you know... Local made products definitely cheaper; cheaper then Msia.

AS long as not botak, they're ok one la... Dunno how many mm to be exact. They use eye power also..

Dun worry about the street illegal stuffs first. Make sure yr bike's road credible.. Tyre's got enough thread, got headlights/ tailight/ brakelight/ signal/ horn, exhaust not overly loud, effective brakes, main frame alignment straight, number plates in the correct specs..

These are the things they check.

But in case you fail (highly unlikely), Re-examination will be slightly cheaper...

Yeah, price is $15++. No need to book, just ride there. But must bring yr inspection letter and log card. No log card = no inspection. Photocopied ones can. No inspection letter = going to LTA to request for one.

Just a question..... my front number plate is a sticker....

won't fail inspection in future right?

Hmm...that's a good way to keep learners from getting into unecessary accidents.... (i mean the learners permit restriction on speed)....

I guess the basic intent is that "how badly injured can one be at slow speed".... and understanding the reality that most new riders drop too....

Well....that is...unless one is so blur on the roads that he rams straight into a tree!:offtopic:

Wow, tua koot kiauw... Sounds bad.. Of course, money no issue, buy a new frame, get your frame number done up, bingo! A new frame and a spare one...

Second option, get a 2nd hand one. Overseas got ppl selling those without frame number.. They bought for racing use. Or can get one from scrap yard and get ppl to change the numbers. Legal or illegal, up to you.. Legally- troublesome. Illegally- once caught, scrap yr bike...

Thirdly, 'jack' it back.. But very tough to get it perfectly right... Most of the time alignment run...

Lastly, pretend you dunno about this, sell off to the next unsuspecting owner!! ha. lol. Dun say I say one!!

:goodluck:

By right, some SBF forummer cleared the air with LTA.. Its legal to use sticker for the front. But the vicom unkle will still say "Ah di, sticker cannot pass... But this time I let you go.."

Ha.

Hmmm,

Interesting. Anyway, my "after-market" suspension not a problem right? Sian, no don't know what to do first, the exhaust or the variator.

Cheers...

Actually on second thought, maybe not a multivar first... Cos its been reported that multivar isn't really needed actually.. Most guys just ran with standard variator and roller weights adjusted to suit... So sorry for the previous misleading advise..

But in all honesty, I think multivar does help.. But not too much on a stock bike.. Mine was running open pod and big carb when I changed it.. So it does help quite abit..

My advice is:

• Fit a set of stiffer clutch spring

• Change yr rollers and belt if its worn

• Fit a pipe if you must look the bucks (wont do much to yr performance on a stock engine other then redcing weight, looks, sound, anti-rust and crisper throttle response.. I think the abv reasons justfy the costs already right??)

If you've got lots more money to throw in:

• Cylinder kit

• Oversized carb kit with open pod filter

• Cam

• And more x99 time/money for tuning and setting it up properly... Sorry, but cold hard truth..

FYI, a recommended sequence for mods:

• Pipe

• CDI

• Multivar

• Clutch

• Torque Driver

• Cylinder kit

• Secondary gear

• Carb

If you follow this regime, Im pretty sure you'll end up a poorer (much) man! ha! *I hope I haven't got the sequence wrong.. Should be something like that...

TA!

the recommended sequence for mods shld be working gd for a 4stroke..maybe inserting the cam b4 the kit will be even better..:thumb:

Hmmm,

Wow, that is alot! Anyway, it is a hard choice, but priority still goes to the exhaust. Don't know whether I'll really wanna do much work as my main goal was to get a class 2A or 2 bike somewhere down the road.

Cheers...

P.S. So when u guys free for the next meet up, think a saturday or a friday will be better...

Ya lor, if yr plan is to go bigger, than dun waste too much money here... Better save the money for bigger (literally) plans..

So have you decided which zorst to get? Now that MegaCycle has come into the story... hee hee hee.. Ha. But if you're talking street legal, then choices are pretty limited..

http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/5600/kuantan049596tc9.jpg

Hmmm,

Guess I will stick to something street legal, as it is more peace of mind I am looking for, plus performance wise, a little more kick is not really much to look for in a DNA 180 especially when he top speed is already quite good for such a small bike...

Cheers...
