Maybe I am jumping to conclusions, but I'll wait till he fine tunes the whole bike, then maybe there will be "significant improvements". But PLEASE do not tell us! Ha ha ha, otherwise everyone would want to get the BB-kit. And it means spending more money!

Oh....you may want to leave your left left hanging down (like some people do) while you accelerate.... That certainly looks like you're dragging....cos it looks like you "didn't change gear"...haha... :cheer:

But does it damage the engine? I always had the idea it would in the long run...

Conclusion is: I think for a stock engine, it still is the best money for hp thing to upgrade.. Now I've gotten it to run 17km/l.. Not bad.. On a stock engine, should let you do around 220-240 per tank?? Cos a stock one can do 260km per tank (9l).. So that works out to be a good 24-25km/l with the kit.

guys, got my bike from piaggio last friday.

 

 

they cleaned my carburator it seems, bike is a litttle better....

but then it happen again, it still cuts off, every now and then

 

and guess what now my speedo does not work,speed always at 0 only....jinx i think

 

 

but the good people at piaggio will try to fix it for me,sending the bike in tonight.

I wanted to get my carb cleaned too, don't know if it is worth doing it myself, did it on my old "motor-bicycle" but not sure about whether I should do it for my DNA180, maybe I should just send it to the professionals.

 

As for the speedometer, if you need a quick fix, use a bicycle one, they normally reach about 300km/h! More then enough for a DNA, unless it is stroker's "SUPER-DNA"! Kidding!

 

Just out of curiousity, Nor Man, is your DNA still under warranty with Piaggio?

 

In my humble opinion, I always had the mentality that the electronic display is one of the things on a DNA that has "waiting to break" written all over it, alongside the fuel line, and bad morning sickness!

Better leave it to TH la... It isn't gonna cost much (I think).. Save yrself the hassle! I think norman's speedo prob is because of loose wire connection only.. No need to change la.. Ya, the sigma ones goes up to 300kph. My bike slow la.. Dun make me paiseh... *blush***

 

BTW, most prob Im going down th tomorro morning.. Cos on mc till tomorro.. Can afford the time. Fri surely rush job till my balls drop.. I can 'remind' jackeye for you if you like.. hee

millage just over 10000km,but the KIND people at piaggio decided to help out.

 

thats what i call customer service,holding up their good name and brand.

great bunch of guys,esp mr yap,great job, first class,well done,bravo ,excellent

 

piaggio no 1,take note md if u read this.

Hey mate, I've got no idea seriously... But I can flip tru the owner's manual for ya when I get home.. If it doesn't indicate that its changeable, most prolly you've gotten the european specs meter.. Which only indicates MPH... Tough luck..
