[Q&A] Bike Rental

hello everyone, heard from friends that you can rent a motorbike there. So when i reach at the ferry terminal i just go to any motorbike rental shop and just rent it? my first time going there. would appreciate if anyone can enlighten me. i don't have car license and i don't want to waste my money on a taxi or van.

You can rent motorbike over at Langkawi. Its quite cheap there.

 

If you wan to bring your bike also can I think.

langkawi bike rental costs about RM20-RM35 a day. all are kupkias.. dont get carrot by the rental people...

Anyone try before.. Heard that very dangerous to ride there.

 

I don't know it's because that they want us to rent their car instead or really accident rate for biker very high? Me going phuket soon, Wanna rent a bike there and go around.. any suggestion?

 

rent a kup zai there for 200 b...exactly not true that riding there is more dangerous...to me.....everywhere is the same...

i rent a scooter only.. 150cc scooter twist and go...

location is batu feringghi penang..

bike rent at RM50 per day twenty four hours...

I just came back from my solo southern taiwan ride 2008, and it was really fun.

 

I am now giving away all the information needed to go for this trip. These includes the maps, places of interest to visit, places to stay etc. Anyone interested to do this ride, please let me know. only car rental. and is very expensive.

 

basically bintan has nothing to explore, go there for scenery and relax.

 

unless u want to go to their town areas, which is 1.5h drive up.

I rented a cub from the resort where I was staying (Nirwana Gardens). I'm not sure how to actually do it because I just asked one of the staff there. For all I know he rented me his own bike. It cost $10 an hour, which probably seems quite a bit but everything at the resort area is expensive. You can ride to the towns (eg. Tanjung Pinang) but I just spent some time riding around, having just got 2B licence then.
