I am riding Wave 125S for 4 years. Currently I got some issues with my bike.I believe it was the CDI(Capacitor Discharge Ignition). After a week of changing to original CDI,my bike liao ku.So I do not know whats the problem.I think it is the Coil(alternator),but I do not know,if that is the case.I do not want to keep changing and changing parts till my pocket's hole getting larger.Any idea what to do?I just change the CDI from the racing one to original costing $90.

Will the original CDI gives more problem than those racing type? What are the pros and cons when changing to those racing CDIs?

Pros:

You can run very fast as the power being cut is taken out.

When speed comes in, petrol intake is high as our bike is not EFI, petrol will

splatter into the carb and produce more power to increase your speed.

Cons:

You might burn the coil due to over reving that cause your internal CDI

to breakdown and thus, have to change a new one.

(i'm not very sure but just heard from, never really try)

Just speaking from what i know, dun flame me aH!~

btw... carb controls the fuel going into the combustion chamber...

EFI engines will also supply more fuel as the engine rev higher...

lastly, its called a rev limiter in cubs.. not powercut like in super4. but its the same lah.. disallow you to rev too high too much.
