Hi guys, just got my license and currently looking for a new ride.

Any suggestions on reliable workshops that I could visit? Or just any random tips you guys are able to share?

Just worried go those bikeshops alone then kena scam. Please share blacklisted workshops with me if you're able to as well.

Looking for somewhat a 2B sportsbike right now. Cheers!

Try looking around in garage sales, usually getting from a direct seller would be a better deal, but not always.

Be it from shop or direct seller, try to go with an experienced friend to check the bike.

Don't assume that you can test ride the bike, it's technically not legal, so best to do a through check.

Don't rush to get a bike even though you really really want to. Take your time and choose the right one.

Also good to get an insurance quotation for the particular bike model if you've got your eyes on one so you can factor that into your budget.

And..enjoy!

Thanks for the reply. I have checked a few bike shops around my area (Farrerpark), the bikes they sell are alot more exp compared to those that are selling from direct owners online. e.g CBF 150 = 4k ++ for secondhand.

The thing is i'm not sure how to check the bikes myself if I get a bike from a direct owner. I don't have any biker friends currently so that's a huge problem for me.

I asked the bike shops they said there's pretty much no way to check a bike unless you open up the bike other than hearing the engine sound/ see the exterior etc etc.

For example, how can i check whether this bike's in good condition, been considering getting this KRR just scared later they hide all the problem when they pass it to me.

btw farrer park which area of bikeshops? u mean jalan besar there isit?

cheers!!

Yeah near jalan besar there. The shop's here got very limited variety though.

There's a CBF 150 selling for 3.8k, COE till 2012 & bike seems alright, but not really tip top condition though.

And was also initially looking for sportsbike actually, but can't seem to find shops that sell those decent ones at a good price.

From what i know when i asked them, they don't sell Honda SP or Kawasaki KRR anymore because it's a super old bike.

Any recommendations for shops nearby?

Sgbikemart and singaporebikes are great places to see owner bikes on offer. Talk to them and ask them about their Bike problems . Honest sellers will tell you...
